The Rise of Skywalker: Episode IX Graflex

Harps model is awesome!

But, to my eye, the new flex has a slightly wider clamp and I also think that the bottom half of the flex may be a little thinner. I played around with a photo of Harps to see what it looked like to meView attachment 1010035

I’m gonna have to go back right now and look, your not the only one saying the bottom can looks thinner.. what am I missing

Here comes that damn sailboat again..

It looks the same to me?

Now I’m seeing a crack with chopper/brass greeblie inside... I wouldn’t put it past JJ to add this to the graflex considering he designed kylos cross guard... I don’t know anymore

With a missing kyber crystal
Hey Halliwax ! That'd be weird for two reasons...

1. Anakin built his lightsabers using an Adegan crystal! Not to mention Qui-Gon did as well, and Obi-wan too! ;) This Weapon is Your Life: A Study of Historical Lightsabers | StarWars.com

2. Both the onscreen BROKEFLEX in Rey's hands, and the BROKEFLEX in the display case at Lucasfilm, have a broken crystal.

So, Rey may have used parts of the BROKEFLEX to rebuild this new iteration of the Skywalker lightsaber, but I don't think the Adegan crystal was one of the salvagable parts from the BROKEFLEX.

The Mousitry of Truth has a bit of historical revisionism to attend to if anyone in Episode IX says that the Adegan crystal in the GRAFLEX was a Kyber crystal, and/or that the crystal in the BANDFLEX is the same one that was in the GRAFLEX.

Pretty sure there's a scorch mark...
Hey SethS ! There's some sort of line under Rey's index finger as she reaches for the lightsaber while it's on her belt in the preview. Adjust the Youtube settings to .25 speed and you can see it for a split second. I still can't tell if it's a 'chrome reflection' or a dark stripe on the side of the lightsaber.

Adegan crystals aren't canon anymore

Obviously cant speak for the actual prop, but the "leather" wrap on the Harp saber actually looks like dark stained wood veneer carefully cut and wrapped around the clamp. Pretty nice I'd say.

Yeah, Harp's does look like a veneer. That's not how I read it in the trailer, it definitely looks like leather to me (and I think that would look better in real life), but we'll have to see when we get more pics. Overall, Harp's does look awesome though, especially given how little time it took him to get it out.

It´s just a theory but what if it had not one but two grips notched that way to atach it in the belt? and we need to see that belt clip /hanger!!!

I don't think there is a belt clip. The slotted grip slides onto the belt itself. However if there is one, I guess it would be similar to Kylo's (in the way it functions) only rotated 90 degrees on a vertical axis and protruding from the belt so that the grip can clip into it.
