so, he's been on the show almost two years now...
Am I the only one who doesn't get the magic?
I was a huge craig ferguson fan. something about his un caring attitude about things spoke volumes. it was the first talk show i've watched from episode one to the finale. (I came in late with letterman on NBC). before him, the Tom Snyder version I would tune in now and again if I couldn't sleep after letterman.
I admit, I have not seen a full episode of the new show yet...so maybe I am missing something. but the clips they play on the radio. he seems to be doing the same social media jokes every few nights ( snapchat, imgr, facebook, etc). his jokes seem to be simple social commentary....that recent carpool skit he does with adelle where he starts off with 'hello?' as an example (calling five months ago). I don't think he can sing all that well......and the one interview I saw him do, he hardly let the guests talk..he was too busy trying to come up with cheasy one liners...and you could tell the guests where starting to get annoyed by it as they tried to do their thing. (In this case, the Ghost Adventures crew).
Am I missing the James Corden magic by not watching a full show, or is my opinion pretty much the popular opinion?
I don't get the magic of steven colbert either. I don't think he (or his writers I guess Is should say) are very funny. and I think the last report I heard was his ratings arn't doing too good either.
