The Noob Field Guide to Pep Costuming

This is precisely what I was wishing for.

Now I just have to finish my Cap build so I can move on to Iron Man...

The Armorer I unfolded a wolwerine mask for foam! And I´m unfolding a Clone tropper helmet too! If you want I´ll sent them to you, so you can add them in the first post.

Hey guys,
I am a noob to all of this and I just wanted to say thank you so much for this thread and all the awesomeness that you have shared here. This is so exciting and you have made it so much less intimidating to go hunting for stuff.

Much love!

You are welcome :)

Thanks for all the great tips. I have a question regarding models for unfolding. Is there an easy way to add more detail (polygons?) to a model. The one I want use is a bit on the under detailed side. And when I unfold it it lacks a lot. Any help would be great.

I don't believe so Jeff. I'm sure that would require modifying the actual 3D model before turning it into a Pep file.

I hope this thread has helped people, I really do, life has been hectic like usual and I haven't been patrolling the forums like I have had in the past. I hope to make some additions soon, but no promises. I know that laellee has started up the pepakura request thread, so it's another step to having a global prop makers help network. one that I wish existed, to help artists, and hobbiests, and cosplayers.

I hope that this has helped, for it was it's intention :)

This ... is ... awesome ! A friend and I are starting out with foam, this and JF's thread are REALLY helpfull.
Thanks for helping new ppl out with this information, I wouldnt even know where to start ... :-D

I'm glad people are still getting help from this :) I'm contemplating updating this and even making it all into a downloadable pdf with the links, and written tutorials, so you can download and view later, but I'm not so sure people are as into pep as they have been in the past, as more and more people abandon the time consuming pep for quicker methods. So if there's a motion for an update, let me know :)
