The New Captain America.

Marvel Comics making big changes. As most of you know, Thor has gone through a bit of a radical change, and now it's the Captain's turn. Steve Rogers got the super serum in his blood "sucked out" and then aged drastically. Obviously, he can physically no longer be Captain America. So who is the next Captain?

Well, if you watched tonight's Colbert Report, Marvel Comics head honcho, Joe Quesada, announced that Sam Wilson, AKA: The Falcon, will be the new Captain America.

This guy will now don the red, white and blue, shield and all:

No that twit running Marvel was on the Colbert report, that man is the worst person to ever run marvel. he's the one making everything politically correct starting with Wolverine no longer smoking. It's another typical Marvel stunt trying to boost sales by replacing heroes with lackluster new people. That and marvel is so politically correct these days. They think they have to pander to everyone and in the end make nobody happy. This is just like the stunt in the 90s when the serum stopped working and you had 5 people trying to replace Cap.

Maybe I've just been too long out of comics, but why not create a NEW compelling character - female, black, hispanic, gay, or whatever they feel is missing for people to identify with - and push with that...

It is possible to create a new iconic character (Harley Quin) and then you wouldn't have to say "Oh that is when they made Green Lantern gay..." or "They eventually made Thor a woman".

I was at a comic con and happy to see two girls as Knives Chow and Ramona Flowers. Completely original Characters. Not just female versions of established.

And you don't have to create "White Hating ****" to have a stong black hero... Just use some of that creativity I'm always hearing Marvel has.
