I set a $300 budget on a costume once. It ended up costing $1800.
Lesson learned? Don't set a budget!
Agreed ... unless it's something like "I really hope I don't spend $2000 on this thing."

I have read the thread. Yeah, some of his plans were head in the clouds kinda things, but he was building. Nothing to be ashamed of since he was building what he wanted.
