I'm not a fan of Melissa McCarthy, but this one looks funny, and likely someone will make a few puppet props from the movie. I'll still wait for it to come out on HBO or Netflix, unless I hear that it's worth the money for a ticket. I normally don't see comedies in the theater.

That's a hard pass for me. Instead of letting the humor grow from the storyline, it looks like they just said, "What kind of offensive or out of character things can we have these puppets do?" It has the potential to be great, but based on that trailer, I get the feeling it's not.

I was hoping for a "Who Framed Roger Rabbit" meets "Team America, World Police" sort of movie. But damned if that crackhead looking puppet doesn't look funny.

I had heard that this was originally supposed to be less of a comedy and more of a noir drama with muppets. Sad they went the direction they did.

Melissa McCarthy is good in small doses but her form of comedy/acting is more miss than hit. I was looking forward to this before I found out she was starring in it. All I could think of was the "Smile Time" episode of Angel LMAO and then I saw the previews for this and was nothing but disappointed

So I'm guessing Jim Henson is rolling around in his grave right about now (well, his ashes are anyways)
