the grand budapest hotel

MAKE BELIEVE, those turned out great! Especially the telegram! Care to share how you made it? The book looks good too. You even got the inside color right. :thumbsup Did you have to redraw the keys in the back?

Thanks, VilleLeskinen
About the book, I went to a second hand bookstore and looked for the cheapest hardcover red one - and found one! And yes, I had to redraw the keys in the back.
As to the telegram, I printed it in cardboard (twice). Cuted the first one, ripped and creased it. Than added the adhesive tape and painted a bit with water based red leather colour. Cuted the "stripes" of the second cardboard and glued it in place.

. Page size is assumed to be 87mm x 124mm, and I've provided approximately 3mm bleed on each edge of the images so you can trim them down.

I'll start working on the passport. Sorry for asking but isn't 87mm x 124mm a bit small? Just curious once I've never had a 30's passport in my hand :D

Another prop from the Grand Budapest Hotel.I am searching now to put here to the collection.

From Wikipedia (the source of all knowledge):
The size of passports normally comply with ISO/IEC 7810 ID-3 standard, which specifies a size of 125 × 88 mm (4.921 × 3.465 in). This size is the B7 format.

- Trans Alpine Yodel newspaper - There Will Be War (starting at USD 600)
- Joplin's Brass Knuckles (starting at USD 900)

What size is the telegram by the way? Looking good :p What kind of paper did you use?

Did anybody made L'air de Panache label? I might make one tonight otherwise :p

I will try :p shouldn't be too difficult though.

I have found a similar cap+Atomizer on eBay and bought it as it seems pretty rare. I'm after a bottle now :p.

Nice! I got myself some paper too :p! It's really difficult to know the correct type of brown, it looks always different according the picture. On the official website, it looks to be almost like a recycled paper.

By the way I have finished the l'air de panache label, let me know what you think! It's not as easy as I thought it would be xD

I have been working on the passport too, but I keep having alignment problems with the stamp on the back... Will be a bit off... Err, I don't have anymore of this cardboard I have been using, so I'll do with it xD! Will take pictures tomorrow :)

So it seems the murder photo found on the net is not screen-accurate. And as the screencap is too blurry to tell what's going on with the photo, here are some pics to choose from which may or may not be 100% accurate. :lol

When the passport is finished, I'll use a bit of white on a "dry" brush on the cover
Thanks for the label. It looks good - bet you had a hard time with those flowers... Can you do the letters of a darker pink and also make them stand out a bit?
