The Governor - Season 4 Build (redone)

The Eyepatch

​

The most universal item of his, as soon as you wear it, almost everyone who has seen the show will know who your cosplaying as. There is only 2 options for this. (3 if you want to make it yourself)



The Eyepatch is one of the hardest pieces to get when cosplaying as this badass, but there are options to make it easier.

Option 1: Ebay custom Leather Eyepatch. This is by far your best choice besides making it yourself. Cost is fairly good, as about $14 USD, and looks very close to the show.

Option 2: Normal Eyepatch. However i don't recommend this, as it makes the costume look less accurate, this is still a choice.

Option 3: Make it yourself. This is the more trickier way, however i'm quite sure you'll be more satisfied from doing this.

The Jacket
​

This is going to be the most expensive part of the costume, so start racking up them dollars, as this won't be cheap.




This jacket is by far the most stylish that I've seen from TWD, besides Rick's Season 4.2 fleece and The Governor's Season 3.2 coat. Now there is a few options that you can do for getting this jacket. (about 4)

Option 1: Ebay. This Jacket replica is by far the most accurate that I've seen from all the other designs. The Back is almost spot on, The pouches on the front look very detailed, along with the bluish tint to it. The wrist cuffs are amazing! Looks exactly like the shows only much cleaner and less worn. The cost however, is not amazing, at a $150 + $25 shipping price tag.

Option 2: Ebay (again). This Jacket, just as the one above, looks very accurate to the show, only that the tint is black instead of bluish. Price tag is $130 + $20 Shipping, which makes this $25 cheaper than the one above, and is a suitable replacement.

Pants (Trousers)
​

This is a fairly easy thing to get, as pants are very easy to come by.

Color/description: He uses Dark Brown jeans, however any dark brown pants will be a suitable replacement.




Since this was self explanatory, lets move onto the next part!

Shirt
​

Again, this is very short, as it isn't hard to find dark grey button shirts.



Check your local Goodwill, Walmart, Clothing Bank, Etc.

Weapons + Sheathes

​

Here is where we start to go in depth to find the most screen accurate items. Firstly, I will be showing you the Pistol + Holster, Then the Knife + Sheathe, and lastly, however optional, Michonne's Katana from Too Far Gone!


Pistol:

Here is by far the most screen accurate pistols that i recommend getting for your costume:

This large Beretta Airsoft pistol is a very cheap and decent pistol replica, however it is a bit bigger than his on screen version, it is a suitable choice (i have this and it seems fine to me)

This is by far the most screen accurate pistol I've come across, do pick it up if you have the money or want to make your costume even more authentic! Cost is merely $16.49, which isn't too bad to be honest.

Holster

Not an easy item to find, if i do say so myself. However, i have looked for a long time, and have come across quite a few choices:

While not being completely screen accurate, it is a very good choice (I have this and i just love it) However i recommend Option 3.

This is by far one of the most accurate holsters ive come across when trying to build this costume, how i'd love to get it, but i'll hold off for now.

Belts
​

Normally I'd do the Knife/Sleathe first, however I'll just start with belts as i have a few options:

Pants Belt:

These Belts would work fine, plus the cost is fairly reasonable. What you will need is a Brown belt (black works fine but accuracy is brown)




Utility Belts:

This will work perfect, right buckle, shape, and width. This is a must have if attempting to make this costume. You'll need black one, for authenticity.
