The Evolution of a Predator Suit-From Start to Finish

Holy frikkin' fragalacious understatement unexplainable words I cannot describe... THAT IS COOOOOOOOOOL!!!! :D

Today is like Christmas for me...I finally got everything I ordered from Daniel Bravo. Thanks to Art for shipping it to me, and thanks to Joe for painting what I originally paid DB to do.

Now begins the assembly. One of the first things I need to do is somehow manage to get the backpack to stop flopping over. I think Joe mentioned using Great Stuff to fill the area - does that sound correct? Then I am going to find some velcro...

This is so exciting...I've been waiting over a year for this. Gotta go check it out some more. I haven't taken the time to look at it detail. I will report more later.

Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!
oh man!!!!! i am puke green with envy!!!!congrats dude looks awesome...damn i want one!!!!i humbly volenteer to be the next recipiant of you guys,, knowledge and generosity...insight and experience!! in other words....HELP i want one!!

I have been getting lots of requests via PM from people who want to buy my suit. If you are serious and have the cash, its yours for $3000. I looked through my PayPal and I've spent over $2600 (not including paint/time/labour) on this suit and it took over a YEAR from start to finish. I paid $650 for the head alone because I bought it right after after DB molded it. Then there are the dreads, rings, netting, bones, glass eyes, mannequin, shipping and the loss of the Canadian dollar when it was all converted to US via PayPal. So now you can see why I would just about break even if I sold it for $3000...

In reality I would have had it done in about 2-3 months if the suit been delivered on time, but a year is still an average time period for a Pred suit.

If you don't have that kind of money then I suggest you go back to the Jason Voorhees and Scream costumes, because Predator suits are NOT cheap nor are they done quickly.

Hope that clears things up for some people who are interested in making a Predator costume...;)

I never get tired of looking at this suit. You selling yourself short man. Thats way cheap for that suit. Whoever gets it is gonna be one luck son of a gun!

I'd only sell it if the funds were solid and the person was serious. No one has pursued it further when they find out the price lol! Which is fine by me because that means I don't have to sell it. One day on eBay maybe, but until then, he stays in my basement right beside my computer desk...;)

no way dude dont sell that for $3000

its worth way more than that and not only that but its one of the best suit i've seen of the P1

only sell it if it starts decaying lol

3,000?....your kidding right...double that cost for time and effort ..this suit is fantastic.

never sell your suit jason ....you will regret it ...only if real life dictates that you need to sell it

my wife said she will bury me in my suit and put the others on ebay...to cover the cost...

I did have an offer for $3000, but they dont have the mone at the moment. I contemplated it, and now I don't think I will sell it. You're right Andrew - I love my Pred and after all the time and energy that I have expended into it I really think I would kick my own ass in a couple years if I sold it. Thanks for helping me come to that realization Andrew!

i think you already came to that conclusion on your own bud,

all of us just helped validate that thought.

I keep coming back to this topic, because this suit is just amazing. I must have visited this topic at least six times today. Definitely one of the most movie-accurate costumes on the board, for sure. Amazing work.
