The DEFINITIVE TDK Joker Costume Thread/Project

I had a very good time today, stole a train, road in the back of a police car, freaked people out. All a good days work!

One thing stands out though, a group of girls who freaked out, elected me their leader, and then asked me to tour the parade route telling their friends scar stories. It was very funny when the kid who I helped put together a costume for came up....The one girl leans over and says "Well he looks alot better than "Dave". "Which lead to the breaking news of me putting together his costume, him using my coat, and me helping him for 4 hours. Evryone just looked at me. He seemed to have forgotten to mention all of the above. Just goes to show you can't help anyone and expect the least bit of credit....

Anyway....The ride was awsome, I got dropped off at the starting area (sence we were the second entry and finished quickly) and started walking up and down the parade route where at least 100 people yelled "The Joker escaped!" etc. Evryone realy seemed to enjoy it!

Hey guys, after some discussion with GeneralFrosty and much deliberation, I've decided to make molds available to the RPF. They're made out of Smooth-On's SmoothCast300 as per their tutorial and are of my third and most accurate sculpt (same one as the scars I've been offering). If theres any interest, let me know. woody21288(at)yahoo(dot)com

Hey everyone I am new here to the boards and wanted to share my weathered Joker outfit for my upcoming Bob Causey Joker Bust. Everything shown is from magnoli except for the tie which is a turnbull and asser tie. The shirt and tie have been carefully dyed to give it the look it had on screen. The vest is a new green material that magnoli used. Anyways let me know what you guys think:

and I am still waiting on the blazer. Once I get the bust sometime next month I plan on sending pics to magnoli so that he can design a better fitting purple overcoat with shoulder pads giving heath the broad shoulder look that he has.

Here's a pic. of me in my cheap Halloween hat. I'm SPECIAL police.

And I know....My ear looks realy bizarre in that picture.

Looks pretty darn good to me! Can you share with us more information on dying the shirt? I have been wanting to do this to my Magnoli shirt for a while, but have been hesitant because I really just had one shot at doing it right.

Great weathering on your stuff Lforigno! Yes, please tell us your methods for Magnoli's shirt, I'm really interested to know what you did to make it look so good.

thanks guys.... I dyed the magnoli shirt and the turnbull and asser tie. I used the rit liquid dye. I first ran the shirt under warm water and then put the shirt in the sink with about 2 table spoons on navy blue rit dye and one table spoon of black rit dye. It turns out great to because it does not dye the stitching on the shirt. Also After the first dye I washed it by hand and let it air dry. I repeated this process over again until I got it the right color I wanted it. The last dye session I used royal blue rit dye to make sure it came out a nice blue.

I also dyed my turnbull and asser joker tie using rit dye and the same method. I dyed it in brown rit dye to give it a worn look and then I carefully dyed it in navy blue rit dye to give it the look it had on screen. They both came out perfect. Hope it helps.

How did you weather the overcoat. It looks great!

Thanks alot. I used watered down black ink and rubbed it into some areas to give it a stained look and then mixed up some white and brown fabric paint and rubbed it on tge coat giving it some depth. I really don't even think pics do it justice. Thanks

Slightly OT but...

I'm getting new licence plates for my car (in France) and I can add a little text underneath the number...

I was thinking about :

- Gotham City Department Of Motor Vehicles

- Gotham City

- I Believe In Harvey Dent

Any ideas or suggestions ? :lol

here is another update for the Bob Causey bust, the accurate buttons have been added to the overcoat.
