my arrow suit was supposed to come yesterday so when the delivery man came he asked me for dutie, i have already payed for it online so i showed him the papers now he is coming back on monday to give me itangry .... annoying,yes but ill live.

anyone have any spare wrap for the riser? (im guessing you dont need the whole length for one bow ) id be interested in buying some, amazon apparently doesnt sell it here.

Got my base suit just about finished. Now onto the quivers, belts and all that jazz.

so i finally made the riser (cause i just couldnt justify a bow just to rebuild most of it ) and im actually quite thrilled at how it came out. Little backstory, i cut of my thumb with a table saw 10 years ago (they reattached it) and since then i have been very hesitant with anything that involved power saws (anything else is fine, drills, dremel, what have you), so this took me a bit of overcoming to actually use wood and use the different saws.
but i didnt hurt myself, and it saved me about 12 hours of manual cutting, so everything went fine

it still needs a bit of sanding, its a bit rough still, but overall, it looks fine. now i just need to find someone with a wood burning tool to get the runes on there.

(Having said that, I'm done with this thread. It's taken a turn in a whole different direction than was originally intended.)

I agree Pinder this thread used to be a great source of knowledge for us vigilante's but its turned into a big pot of dumb questions that have been answered like 4 times. If something of value comes of this thread again I look forward to it...I think I'll just stick to facebook.

its either spruce or fir, it was 7x5 cm construction wood, pretty much the cheapest and hardest one they had, i had to buy 3 meters, just to use those 35 or so cm but for 5 bucks, thats still ok. its not sanded in any way when i bought it, but that doesnt matter anyway.

the limbs i will probably buy a sheet of acrylic glass, cut out straight limbs, then heatform them. those have a little bit of flex to them, but no drawing power.

Thanks for sharing those 2d drawings for the bow's body.
I'm taking the same route, should have it cut down this weekend. Then I'll have to sand my ass off.

Tell me, have you drafted up the flat version of the arms yet? I'll be doing the same thing. I'll probably screw down some round wood discs and use them as a guide for the thermal forming of the arms, but I wondered if you've drawn up any preliminary designs for the arms? I was going to 3d model them in their bent form, then use that as a guide to draw them flat. But if you've got anything already, I'd love to see/swap notes.

Hello!! I am new to posting on the site and have to say i LOVE this thread soooo much. Amazing information and i definitely plan to use this info to build my Arrow cosplay. All i do currently is Doctor Who. But i will make sure and post whatever info I can to help.
