Kevin Gossett, I am beyond frustrated. I got in the deerhide lace (it is awesome) and I started wrapping. The problem is, randomly, the lace twists inside out, and for the life of me, I can't seem to get it to twist correctly! Did you have this issue, and if so, how did you get around it?Finally got around to wrapping my handle. I used 1/4" deerhide lace I purchased on ebay (25') and twisted as I wrapped. I secured the end with a little bit of hot glue, then wrapped each end with some black artificial sinew. The lace I used was originally a whiskey tan color, so I put a couple coats of neatsfoot oil on to darken it. I just finished applying the oil before I took these pics, so this isn't the final color (though it's pretty close to what I'm shooting for). I'll let it dry overnight and see how I like the color. If needed, I'll apply a couple more coats of oil, and maybe a little bit of dye to reach the color I'm looking for.

All that is left to do is weather the blade!
