Nah..... They would have been fine. Obi-Wan almost had a direct hit, and he was fine. Just thrown a few feet. Those cannons are weak. It's those little hidden ones under the cockpit you gotta be afraid of.
Oh boy… always gotta watch for the hidden ones

The worst!..

Here's what I don't get....Fett is taking over Jabba's empire, right? Wasn't Jabba a gangster who ran a crime empire? What exactly is Fett trying to do? He never really does anything criminal. They almost make it out like he's running some sort of "protection" racket, but it actually just seems more like a security force, and not a very good one at that.

I mean, after Boba gets control, what exactly is he planning on doing? Running crime? Are we supposed to be rooting for that?

Maybe season 2 ought to be more of a Breaking Bad type situation. So, Fett had his change of heart after the Sarlacc and the Tuskens, but soon realizes he can't get out from under the 'umbrella' of the corruption of Tattooine. Finally, he just embraces it and becomes the bad ass we all thought he should be. Maybe, I dunno, maybe Mando would have to be the one to come and take him out.

It all should have ended in ep4 when Boba took Slave 1 to peer into the Sarlacc pit. He not only discovers his armor still stuck in the bowls of the Sarlacc but someone inside the armor too.. himself!
It's all turned out to be one big Sarlacc induced hallucination.. Boba Fett, ruthless bounty hunter, born killer and wanna-be-crime-lord mister-nice-guy just took a deep slimy dive into the twilight zone..
o_O

I am not trying to defend this show what so ever but I ran into this same question and seen others ask the same thing

I think fett is just offering protecting… I think as long as you pay him he won’t let anything happen to your property..

He’s an insurance agent and offers property protection- except from destruction by Rancors, large droids and Pykes (you have to read the fine print.)

Yeah you’re not the only one. It just goes back to the “crimelord” angle not making much sense or even apparently being all that thought out, nevermind the weird “benevolent” aspect of it. He seems averse to actually doing any criminal activity…so why be a crimelord at all? It’s never all that clear what his longterm plan even is.

I’ve said this before but if they were gonna go “goody two shoes” with him, why not just make him a “lone ranger” type vigilante?

“A fiery Rancor with the speed of light, a cloud of dust and a hearty '…like a Bantha!’, …it’s Boba Fett!

With his faithful assassin companion, Fennec, the daring and resourceful helmeted Fett leads the fight for law and order on Tatooine!”

Unless Tatooine really has been his homebase all this time, I still don’t know why he just didn’t make it a priority to get out of there as soon as possible.

I did laugh when early on he refers to himself as a “crimelord”. Pretty sure actual crimelords don’t refer to themselves as such. Lol! They’re “businessmen” ! Lol

I think this is the true crime - comitted against the audience!

This series is into a death spin angle...to make others respect his rules, he'll have to resort to violence to make sure he's still the Boba Boss and isn't threatened by someone bigger and more ruthless. It's inevitable:rolleyes: (search Mafia in the Dictionary and get back to me:p).
Hopefully, and in that vein, we'll see the good ol' BF returning to his no-nonsense past/action: take no prisoners, unless they're in some kind of carbonite(y)

Absolutely! They just copied The Godfather and killed off the heads of the other crime “families”. The chain of violence should continue. He also needs to make money somehow, presumably with threats or action. Unless… he just makes Jabba’s palace into a day spa with Bacta treatments, Krrsantan massage therapy and a children’s petting zoo with Banthas and a Rancor. :)
