The Book of Boba Fett

Please Jodo , you gotta come through and make sitting through the finale worth it.
Half the people I have talked to so far have said the finale is fantastic and the other half have said this is the worst series they’ve ever seen.

We are gonna watch it in the next few days though! I gotta stay out of this thread until then! Just saw the tag notifications…like a bat signal for me to poke my nose in here! LOL

So my overall reasoning for staying along with this straight train wreck of insanity is that back before all this started with Episode I, I had very little hope for this series... And so when just before it started, much like with GoT S8, the season's entire plot reportedly leaked online (reddit), I couldn't help myself and had to see what we MIGHT be in store for

What is scary is, much like with GoT S8, the plot leaks were eerily spot on, and anything that was contained in them we didn't get was more.... lets say "missing" than it was contradicted by what happened. I knew Bane was coming at the end. I knew about the rancor and the hutts, and even BK well before they showed...
But I never got the scene I was actually hoping to see.... The scene where at the end Mando asks Boba to come with him to help take back Mandalor and where Boba says "hes not cut out for Crime Lord life" and he decided to 'Free Willy' his goddamn Rancor onto the poor people of Tatooine....
It just sounded so absolutely bat **** insane at the start of the season that I had to stick around to see it... and whats odd more than anything is again, NOTHING actually contradicted it possibly happening... or possibly being simply shifted over into TMS3, along with the reported Qi'Ra return of Emilia Clarke we were rumored to get in the finale.. (assuming she hasn't run away from SW as fast as she could)

I now wonder if BoBF was originally a 5 episode series.. one almost entirely in the hands of Rodregez... and perhaps once he 'turned in his homework' so to say, the rest of the crew had a "ahhhhh holy ****... this is nightmarishly bad.. we gotta do something ASAP" moment, and thus re-edited the entire season into a 7 episode season, with the insertion of Episodes 1 and 2 of The Mandalorian Season 3 put in the middle to try and deaden the blow... Perhaps this is why E5 and 6 don't feel like they remotely fit at all in the season
I wont be terribly surprised if this goofy ass 'Free the Rancor' scene I so waited for, along with the other "missing" parts are now going to be re-edited into the first couple episodes of TMS3... Frankly I wont be too surprised if there is even Half or more of a BoBF episode spliced in

We never saw the Gomorean Guards hit the bottom, so THEY’RE NOT DEAD! In fact, in 2024 we’ll get the series, “The Miss-Adventures of Grunt and Skwalk.” Two former palace guards now working the mean streets of Mos Mosley as private investigators, bringing justice to the little guy.
The Mods will bring them back with cyborg snouts

Speaking of Rancors, what's the deal?
ROTJ it was slow and only seemed to have advantage due to the small spaces keeping fleeing difficult.
Now it's jumping around like a chimpanzee. Did Jabba keep them drugged? Did it grow up captive and became sluggish?
Great point however this was one was introduced as a young Rancor that bonded to Boba. The ROTJ was a old Rancor. At least that's how I'm explaining it so as it is young and it was full of piss and vinegar.

Honestly though, I’d kinda be more okay with BOBF if that’s what they did. All I’ve wanted out of Mando is to see a Mandalorian civil war

Oh no Ive no problem with Boba going with Mando. Tbh I think they're gonna 'M. Night Shyamalan' us and make Boba the one who becomes Mandalore and rightful owner of the Darksaber in the end like he sorta does in the EU.
I more was talking about the Rancor... one of the greatest monsters in cinema... having been turned into a cute lovable teddy bear and a 'Goodie'

Coming soon to Disney+. The future of Tatooine law enforcement.

I think Boba just wants to reinvent himself. He's tired of being the hired gun. He wants to be the guy that does the hiring for change. That and he wants to kick back and hang up his spurs.................

............... Man that would have been the perfect, story. Boba Fett wants to retire. After everything he's been through, he's ready to give up bounty hunting. But everyone knows he's Boba Fett, so you've got these young up and coming gunslingers and bounty hunters trying to make a name for themselves, trying to take him down. And Boba just wants to live a peaceful life. It's little bit Shane, meets The Shootist. Fits right in that western genre. You could even being the Pykes. Have them kinda fill that big rancher role, that wants to lord over the moisture farmers. Now that's a Boba Fett show I'd like to watch.
Some things you can't attone for..
Imagine if *insert any dictator name* decided one day....
"Its OK! change of Heart Im not going to kill you"

Its not sending out a good moral message is it...

It would be really interesting to turn Boba into a sort of Dread Pirate Roberts á la The Princess Bride.
Yeah but that was a fun well thought out story which still has appeal today lol..

No Actually it was sort of touched on before wasn't it.. and would technically make sense to do so..
