It would seem he’s not interested in repairing it. I assume the skin had worn off by TFA. The blaster damage can actually still be seen on the hand in those movies.

I would guess so, since Yoda teaches the kids. Whatever happened to his memory presumably has made him forget.

Eh, hardly doubt he's a moron. You're talking about a species that grows very slowly. The whole "Yoda had pupils under him when he was 100", could be retconned. Yoda also didn't have full on PTSD while he was still in his little years.
His growth might be stunted, but his species might only communicate via telepathy until a certain age.
Ahsoka said he hid his powers to survive. Even if he's related to Yoda, he's not Yoda. He went through a lot at only 20 something years of age, which is a full on baby for his species. Hell, Yoda might have still been toddler size by the time he was Master, ala Buddhist monk. (Which I think is exactly what they're going for here.)
I think he might be able to talk, but has gone pretty much mute. I was actually just talking about this last night and my husband was quoted Scrooged, with the little boy who saw his dad murdered and refused to speak. "All this money so a doctor can tell me you don't speak...I know you don't speak!"
Also Home Alone: "We left my kid at the funeral home. After a few months he was fine, came around and started talking again..."
I saw one review channel think that he was just about to say his first words to Luke before the episode cut.

I guess there's just no pleasing some fans. Some complain about the ST and how they hate Rey, Finn, & Kylo and want more OT characters. Then we get a show featuring one of the OT characters and we get complaints about how they're using OT characters instead of new or ST characters. At this point, Disney is damned if they do and damned if they don't. No matter what they do there is just no pleasing even a majority of fans.

It doesn't seem Grogu is anywhere near independent, emotionally stable, or mature enough to make a major life choice such as the one before him, especially if he's gone through trauma that he hasn't worked through. Putting him in a stable environment would be much wiser than sending off to be in a chaotic life threatening situation with the Mandalorian. But this is entertainment so they're going to ship him off with Mando and then he's going to eventually see that he's better off with Luke. I feel like he might even end up with Ahsoka at some point given her affinity for teaching kids.

In TLJ The Lost Jedi, his hand was stripped of all synthetic skin. So I assume he never got it fixed. Likely as a reminder to himself of what not to become.

Yeah I can only assume maybe it has some signifcance to him. Certainly in RoTJ it was symbolic of what he could become, in comparison to Vader. Maybe that’s still relevant to Luke years later? Maybe the unrepaired robotic hand and black glove is a reminder? That’s only a guess though. Certainly he does get tired of the glove at some point and ditches it.

Speaking of ice cream makers, I'm surprised that it took this for someone to mention it. I don't always get all of the Easter eggs that show up in this show but even I caught the ice cream maker as soon as I saw it. What really surprises me is that no one here has complained about in some way. No comments about how it's a cheap nod to ESB, how it's the wrong model of ice cream maker, it's the wrong color, it shouldn't be in the show, etc.

Techically Din's life is mirroring Grogu's. He has no family anymore, he's quite literally losing his religion. Frankly, they both need to be trained together.
One or both will eventually end up with the Dark Saber in the long run.
I think all Grogu wants is to be a kid, and Din never had that either, hence his longing to see Grogu and to watch him grow.

Right. Whether the blaster hole was repaired or not, maybe the glove is a continued reminder of how close he came to falling to the Dark Side over Endor.
One must wonder what would have happened if he had still been wearing that glove (or another black glove) on that fateful night with Ben.
