Same here I was shockedTo be fair, I did not even notice there was a woman in the group until it was pointed out here!
Agreed. I thought it was actually a decent approximation of the Luke we know, trying his best to be a model “Jedi”, serene if not a bit aloof.I've seen some very good, very emotional deepfake scenes. You can't just do it willy-nilly; you need athe performance to match what you want to see in the final product, and it seems to work best when the facial structure of the original is similar to the face you're putin over it. If you haven't seen it already, see this: Jim Carrey deepfaked into The Shining
I really do think this version of Luke is a logical extension of what we saw in RotJ. And in a lot of cases, I really don't don't understand what a lot of people here are going on about. Maybe it's just me.
SSB
The halos just representing a memory..they use it all the time in TVIt looks as if those three Jedi are specifically protecting Grogu.
I also think it's too much of a stretch to say that his POV outline is the same outline as his pod, but is not his pod.
Excatly! Just like you can’t tell me rey wasn’t originally meant to be Luke’s daughter…
I’d roll with it
I call BS… can’t tell me noJust gotta say in 2014, Rey wasn't related to any Skywalker's by blood. That's stated in "The Art of The Rise of Skywalker." Now, prior to that, who knows. I'm sure a lot of ideas were chucked around from 2012 until 2014.
That’s the exact impression I got when seeing itT

I mean I gotta a couple quotesI call BS… can’t tell me no
Yeah it was discussed earlier but there definitely is some weirdness with Grogu and his age. Unless he grows in sporadic bursts, he seems way too old to be at the developmental level he is. If Yoda already had a successful career and training Jedi by 100 years old, Grogu should definitely be more than a toddler at 50. However, that’s assuming he grows at a steady, constant rate and doesn’t instead do something weird like encasing himself in a cocoon and emerging dramatically more developed each time. Or just grows painfully slow for the first 50 years and suddenly has a growth spurt into an adult.I am concerned about Grogu / Baby Yoda / The Child/ The Marketing Maguffen. It appears that he has gone “full moron”…
50 years old and unable to speak, still drooling, and making baby noises?
Yoda worked because he only went “part moron”….backward talking, somewhat moronical, with the agility of a creature with an arm inserted up its backside and rods holding up his arms? Sure. But he could still express himself and have a conversation.
I guess at roughly 900 years old, Yoda, himself, must have just started to learn how to speak, right around the time of the Prequel Trilogy…

Trauma would potentially delay both physical and mental growth. Or he could have even regressed.Yeah it was discussed earlier but there definitely is some weirdness with Grogu and his age. I honestly think he was just about to speak for the first time, right before the scene ended.I am concerned about Grogu / Baby Yoda / The Child/ The Marketing Maguffen. It appears that he has gone “full moron”…

Yeah there has also been speculation he could be further along than we think and is simply mute. He does seem to understand what he is told and seems to have a fair situational awareness. Otherwise to be capable of being trained, surely he has to be further along mentally than he’d initially seem.Trauma would potentially delay both physical and mental growth. Or he could have even regressed.
