The Book of Boba Fett

If it’s been decently modified/customized…I could see not minding that. Just seems weird
going from a freighter/small gunship that doubles as a living space to a one-man snub fighter
Where would he put multiple targets though? Unless everyone’s just getting out of the bounty hunting game

I think that what's hurting BoBF is (I'm guessing) Disney's mandate(s) on episode and season length. It seems Favreau and Filoni crafted a show that's really meant for ~40 minute long episodes and a 10 - 13 episode season. Instead, Disney (presumably) is forcing them to cram things into a ~30 minute episode, 7 episode season format. This, to me at least, is what's hurting the show and I could see everything being planned for the longer format but Disney refusing to let them have more run time. It's probably what's (partially) hurting RR as well, he's probably not used to directing TV, esp. a show with roughly 30 minute long episodes.

Maybe they they brought balance to the flashback vs real time wouldn’t hurt either?

Kind of feel ripped off at times when you get a ton of flashback and barely any update of todays time

Maybe he’ll recover IG-11’s head and stick it in the droid compartment as navigator.
No joke, that is literally a mental image I had as well. lol! Barring that, he would presumably have to have a new astromech to travel with. It seems so far outside what his needs would be unless he's given up bounty hunting. Even beyond the practicality of a snubfighter, that particular choice sure seems strange.

That's been one of my biggest disappointments with these shows. I was shocked when Mando started and we were getting 30ish min episodes in some cases, especially with only 8 episode seasons. I just assumed we'd be getting 10 1-hr long episodes because that's what I'm used to, coming from other streaming services.

severed end of tentacle
Watch it again, it’s totally part of the ship model. The tentacles fall off as it lifts and rotates with the ship

Edit: now that i look at it more, im almost certain it’s supposed to be another seismic charge sticking out..
I wonder if this scene originally went with the Sarlacc feeling around the back pulling one out from the loading carriage, and then eating it… rather than Fennec doing everything

These would work for Mando's new ship.

I think it’s more that Jon and Dave are likely spread thin with the various projects. Not that they aren’t giving it their all, but it’s different when you are contributing to a few different projects. The time you’d spend obsessing over the fine details on one project go to larger work on another project. No matter how they slice it up, there will be less time on each project.

As for RR, I think it’s his attitude towards the character/IP. He’s said he doesn’t like working on existing franchises because he doesn’t want to have to worry about what’s “right or wrong”. He said he thought Boba Fett was unexplored enough that it was basically a new character.

I was curious about other possibilities so I just googled "Star Wars Concept Ships."

Truly amazing designs out there.
Gotta check out Matt’s concepts on Instagram. He’s designed a few things, once ship he made out of his kids toy while playing in the back yard

I 100% agree. I definitely feel like that extra time could have been spent on things, like, more of Boba settling in and finding a home with the DS Tuskens. His acceptance into the tribe felt way too hurried, and the tribe’s slaughter felt like it came way too early in this story.

Personally, so many of my issues with this show could have been fixable with an extra 5-10 minutes of run time to flesh some things out, and give story beats time and space to breathe.

Though I think we got plenty of tusken time, I think the opposite I think we got less fett modern day time. It would be great if they had the extra time to show more of his modern day

Well at least that’s how I feel
