The Book of Boba Fett

Know im probably gonna come off as a whiny bitch, but anyone wanna talk more about this gem of a scene?

Slave I completely defying gravity as she backs out of the Sarlacc flying no different than if in space..
Forgive me, but if I physically flipped the Millennium Falcon 180° on its roof, while in atmosphere under gravity.. would you think I’d be able to hop in and fly her out no problem? Or would I be calling a Tow truck?

Im voting Tow truck.. tbh im surprised they didn’t make that scene given it happened to Mando and the Razor Crest

Also i think I found a error on their 3d model??
In the closeup theres nothing jutting out the back, but in the pulled back shot it looks like half a sizemic charge is sticking out??
I still hate how it’s physically EII Slave I inside too instead of ESB

The hell is that thing??
I mean Star Wars ships do weird things. How does the Falcon or X-wings, or Y-wings take off vertically, and hover? Heck how any of the ships take off? They don't have rotating V/TOL like engines. That's why they came up with repulsorlift engines in the expanded lore. As means of explaining that away.

If I had to give a wookieepedia guess I would say they have their thrusters zeroed and are moving with repulsors only. Thrusters create, thrust, and repulsors handle lift in atmosphere like this.
Found this- According to in-universe reference material, Slave I is a modified Firespray-31-class patrol craft produced by Kuat Systems Engineering. Unique in design, the Firespray-31-class has a distinct engine cluster on which the ship rests when landed, but when in flight the ship rotates 90 degrees so that the top-mounted cockpit faces forward. The ship's artificial gravity similarly reorients depending on the flight mode, while the rotating stabilizer fins on either side carry repulsorlifts to assist with landing.

Ahh ok so that must be why they have the Slave I's wings go completely 180 so they're flat to the sand lifting out... I'll let it slide this time since they did that little detail I suppose, even if it sorta violates the mechanics going on with the wings.
I always like how when the OT and PT ships entered a planets atmosphere or were landing etc, they were still subtly presented as though they were still actively fighting the effects of conventional physics with fine movements or thrusters, and in that way we could understand visually they had some advanced tech to do so. Disney SW really needs to stop cutting the corners in this regard. I thought the same thing with the overly smooth way Slave I went into its landing path in Mando S2 "The Tragedy" compared to what we see it do on Geonosis when landing

You should (if you haven't) play "Star Wars Starfighter." It's the only Star Wars game that I know of that the flight mechanics change whether your in space or flying near a planet. Best way is to play on PC with a joystick.

There is some confusion. Understandable in these uncertain and confusing times.

Boba Fett's ship is called Slave I.

I hope this brings clarity to the situation.

Thank you for your attention.

I believe you are referring to this-

(The ship formerly known Slave 1) Purple rain, purple rain...

Yep someone was saying on YouTube that there’s rumours he’s flying
a Naboo Starfighter

J
If it’s been decently modified/customized…I could see not minding that. Just seems weird
going from a freighter/small gunship that doubles as a living space to a one-man snub fighter
