The Book of Boba Fett

I get that, & I think that sometimes the creators take for granted that having 'STAR WARS' in the title automatically comes with the hook needed & comes with a fair amount of leeway & goodwill from the fans. Sometimes that happens to the detriment of the story, but gauging by The Mandalorian alone, I know that there were a few episodes that were crapped all over in both seasons, & admittingly, not all were home runs, but I can't think of one episode of that show that didn't have at least ONE, possibly insignificant at the time, but something nonetheless, that didn't add to the whole of the story.

A story that I might add is still being told. I personally don't see any reason that this (nearly same) creative team is would change the recipe.
Right but compare the 2 season openers from Mando to this one....not even close!!!, granted we are dealing with comparing an unknown commodity to a known and therein is the main difference in peoples minds. Mando gets a pass because it's new...we are all learning about the protagonist at the same time

I think current SW would work much better if particular projects we'e targeted to specific audiences instead of always targeting EVERYONE. The OT was magic partially because it had mass appeal even though it was designed for 12 year olds. Trying to re-create that lightning in a bottle mass appeal seems to generally fail. The BOBF was designed for EVERYONE but lets just say it was designed for kids, fine, give us a SW show that's for adults. Or find any number of other ways to target to specific audiences- fans of the OT, fans of the ST etc. Yes audiences grow up, so change with them instead of always talking down to them. Anyhow just a few thoughts.
THAT’S WHAT I’VE BEEN THINKING! I don’t care if they keep making content directed towards PT fans, or Filoni fans. Just why does everything have to connect? Why does it all have to be written at the same level? The OT has mass appeal, but clearly no one, not even Lucas himself, was able to make SW again with that same appeal. I can’t believe I’m saying this, but that’s why I think DC might actually be doing things right finally now that they’ve kind of given up on a cinematic universe. Now, if someone wants a dark take on the Joker with heavy emphasis on mental illness, they can watch the Joker! It doesn’t have to connect! But if someone actually liked Jared Leto (for some reason), well, here’s an extra scene of him in the Snyder cut! And if you don’t like any of that, here’s The Batman! Why can’t Star Wars strike a balance like that?

He did. And the slaver angle was already established in The Clone Wars. I'd have to go back and watch that story arc with Ahsoka and Chewbacca, but I am pretty sure there were references to Trandoshans targeting Wookiees specifically.
Lets all pour a cold one out for LucasArts and PS2's StarWars Bounty Hunter who had the balls to straight '**** you' "She's called Slave I" after Jango stole her from the Prison on Oovu IV, destroying the rest of the prototypes and leaving her as the only Firespray-31 of her kind in the galaxy...

God that game even had better writing than both these shows... im about to go hook up my PS2 to wash this out of my mouth. I usually hate the flying around shooting crap thing, but we're 4 episodes in and Boba hasn't fired his EE-3 once... Night and day compared to how he is presented at the end of TM S2 even

Well, by this Logic, then no one should be upset that Boba said "My Firespray Gunship" not "Slave 1" as Slave 1 was never mentioned in any main line film and was only ever spoken aloud once, in the Clone Wars by Aurra Sing....

And did Boba really even need to call it "Slave I" in his conversation with Fennec? "Slave I" doesn't help her identify what they are looking for.

If I had a name for my car (which I don't), I'm not going to tell someone "I need your help finding 'Mirabelle'." I'm going to say, "I need your help finding my gray Tesla Model Y."

yeah but is it really so much to do a "whats a Slave I" or "Whats a Mirabelle??" line to which he can just point *that* or say "my ship"?
Like i feel this is simple screenwriting and even world building stuff that is just being chopped all for the benefit of what exactly?

The Clones are still literally a brainwashed Child Slave army of tan people at the end of the day... especially now that Filoni went and made the "chip" as the reason they do 'the bad thing' so they can have fun adventures and individuality rather than them basically being 'drones' and their training and environmental conditioning being the reason for their loyalty... and Episode I still has rampant slavery on Tatooine..
Should rename her 'Clone I'

The virtue signaling is starting to trip over itself

I loved that game. Best thing to come out of the prequels. I’d totally love a modern remake.

Unless…unless BK was hired by Boba to go into the palace and throw him around to test the loyalty of his new guards and tech heads.
I did wonder this last week,he got some sort of Axe?..in his back for his troubles too!

Maybe Boba was expecting a Yoga Class but ended up with Struggle Cuddling instead lol

That was not good! I am very perturbed!

I apologize for my outburst and language.

Well, he wasn't able to point at it when he first brought up the topic, right? She'd have no idea what kind of ship it was or what she was looking for in her scope unless he told her "a Firespray gunship."
I coulda sworn he could see it with the rifle scope when the doors were open, but maybe its just me... She also sent that probe inside to look around. Coulda easily done it then...

We'll ignore the fact the only other things in the hanger were a sand skiff and a bunch of storage crap.. Just seems an incredibly lazy way of accomplishing.. well accomplishing I'm not really sure what. The word Slave is now a no-no, but the actual physical act of indentured servitude for the 'Good Guys' is still A-Ok?
