Those are all great explanations. I guess my point is that when there are gaps in the narrative's logic that make you stop paying attention to the story, and instead try and make heads or tails of an apparent continuity problem, somebody in the production needs to tighten their ****.Agree 100%, but I think some of those points, in my mind anyways, have been answered.
I think either BK just came in through a window in the bedroom, since he's a Wookie & can probably climb like no one's business, or it's just visual shorthand to show that he's skilled.
As Boba said, he thinks he was betrayed, therefore, no discussion.
I'm thinking that since we're dealing with the direct aftermath of the fall of the Empire, & the establishment of the New Republic, I think a lot of the crime syndicates probably laid a bit low to see who was going to win out & then what was going to be allowed. The Hurts just let Bib be a placeholder so they didn't have to move or give up anything. When the dust settled, they could just take it back, but Boba arriving & laying claim made them HAVE to make a move.
That was a slightly tense moment whilst it rolled around then went ploop! It was a good thing Fennec knew that by deploying that bomb that it would actually fall into the pit and not on top of the sand because....well, the show would have been over then and....well, we wouldn't have to worry about the name of the ship anymore
I actually took those 2 quotes as possible jabs against an audience that can't be bothered to either be patient enough to let a story be told, or just can't be bothered to think & put some dots together themselves. Those are all great explanations. As for BK, you make a great point about the climbing, but he did this in broad daylight, with Fennec, 8D8, the Gamorreans and the Mods all on the clock. How would BK know which window to climb into, and at the perfect time when Boba was 100% defenseless? Did he just get lucky? Or was he able to freely roam the palace until he found Boba? If so, that seems just as suspect.
Long ago in this thread, I stated I was really hoping that, in the end, Boba was playing next-level chess and was 10 steps ahead of everybody (even the antagonists that we, the audience, don't know about yet) at all times. I still would love that to be the case, and today's ep gave me some hope:
"How many times have you been hired to do a job that could have been avoidable if they only took the time to think?"
"I'm tired of our kind dying because of the idiocy of others."
Seeing the Slave 1 (FIRESPRAY GUNSHIP) hovering over the sarlacc was pretty damn cool/funny at the same time.
You bring up a good point - how many dots should an audience be required to put together themselves?I actually took those 2 quotes as possible jabs against an audience that can't be bothered to either be patient enough to let a story be told, or just can't be bothered to think & put some dots together themselves.
Yes, good points. I think now is a good time to reveal one of the lines that has stuck with me from Mandalorian "The Tragedy" . Boba states, "I have allegiance to no one!" He said that to Mando while Fennec was his partner. Those are all great explanations. Clearly, the man is placing high value on the concept of a well-thought-out plan. So perhaps this passive "careening about" that he's been doing in the present-day timeline is a ruse, and his grand plan has yet to be revealed to anyone yet, including us. Maybe?
I like that line of thought, and I, too, had been wondering if BK was going to be revealed as having been working for Boba the entire time.Unless…unless BK was hired by Boba to go into the palace and throw him around to test the loyalty of his new guards and tech heads.
Dang it .. hit the post button before I was done.I actually took those 2 quotes as possible jabs against an audience that can't be bothered to either be patient enough to let a story be told, or just can't be bothered to think & put some dots together themselves.
I'd have to go watch it again, but is it possible the sonic grenade switch was placed for reach by the pilot, not the co-pilot? Boba had both hands full wrasslin' with the Sarlacc so he couldn't let go of the yoke to reach the switch, meaning Fennec had to reach over into "his" space to flip it?View attachment 1535851
I loved it..and
If the detonation switch was closer...the scene would have had no drama
He was reacting to the apostrophe being erroneously used for a plural.hey, I happen to like eye's lol..,she is just downright gorgeous!!!
EXACTLY!You bring up a good point - how many dots should an audience be required to put together themselves?
Too many dots, and people disengage from the narrative because they are trying to fill in all the gaps.
Too few dots, and you're spoon-feeding them the story, which is "paint-by-numbers" boring.
I don't have an answer, but I think it's an interesting question.
you and mottrex thanks to you both i'm "sweating like a gumpta on Mustafar"
Unless again, that was all part of the stage play, to throw everybody off. It would hardly look like a real attack if there wasn’t some damage.I like that line of thought, and I, too, had been wondering if BK was going to be revealed as having been working for Boba the entire time.
But that bite to the hand, and this week's scene where Boba followed BK out of Sanctuary and offered him a job (i.e., they didn't already have an established working relationship) seems to have dampened that theory.
