The Book of Boba Fett

Well I know in the old EU it was said that Tusken males and females didn't differentiate in dress and only saw one another without their wrappings for "recreational" purposes. George messed that up in AOTC by having females dressing dramatically different than males. These new shows seem to be ignoring that and sticking to the older way of thinking although one could say it could be explained by different tribes doing their own thing. Maybe only the tribe Anakin slaughtered had females dressed in that manner. I will say I hope this show avoids the temptation of showing us what Tuskens really look like. Let's keep it a mystery.

The female raider in BOBF dresses different from all the other raiders. The other females have a callback in their design to AOTC female tuskens also.

How so? They all had some variations of dress but I noticed nothing that could be considered gender specific. I certainly noticed none that looked anything like what we saw in AOTC but maybe I overlooked them.

Lol @ Anakin fodder. Although I'm not really seeing the differentiation unless you're referring to the robe on that woman(?) being a bit of a different style? I can kinda see the similarity of the shoulder area to the AOTC female Tuskens but unsure how much can be read into it. Certainly the masks and such are nearly identical across the board. I recall the females in AOTC looking dramatically different.

I mean I don't see gender I only see beautiful souls I'm just saying the shoulder and hip decorations/styling theory looks to be inspired by the aotc female costume. But the shoulder line and the way the arms are hanging is very female.

I guess if more than one is wearing something similar, then we could infer that's a deliberate female styling differentiation but I know the chieftain's wife(?) seems to do her own thing at least. She looks more like a cross between Kylo Ren and a Tusken.

If you watch the burning pile scene again the tusken that takes the corpse off Boba is also a female, but in regular garb for that clan. This tusken tribe looks pretty broke and busted compared to the high class one Anakin deleted. That tribe could afford classy metal face masks for their women and sturdy huts. They had it all until they didn't.

Maybe she found half a tusken corpse Ani left behind 30 years ago and was like "ooh is been trimmed to my size....perfect for summer....finders keepers"

Now I admit this is getting really nit picky but it bugs me a little bit that the Tusken Raiders eyes are so short. I know the originals are like looking through toilet paper rolls but it just looks off to me. Maybe this tribe of Sand People has different traditions.

Liked the second episode a lot more than the first.

"Before you threaten me, you should ask yourself who really sent the Night Wind"

....says the guy who just had the prisoner killed before he could talk more. Fett doesn't seem to pick up on that.

"Go to Garsa's sanctuary. You'll see what I speak of."

Huh? The Hutts appear on the street outside of her place, but they stop there only because that's where Fett is. It doesn't make any sense for the mayor to send him there. It's like it was just a way to shoehorn her into the episode.

Apart from these nits, I really liked the episode.

im telling you, i never thought i would have been as emotional as i was there... when your at the falcon you cant see anything but mountains... you feel like you are there man..

still can not believe it
I've pretty much seen most of it on YouTube videos but to stand under The Falcon is gonna be so Cool...
They shot the exterior shots of The Force Awakens just down the road from me and to know what goodies were so close but out of bounds was excruciatingly exciting..
The Silo's are still there obviously but nothing else..

Here in the UK we have a Cinema experience called Secret Cinema.

You were encouraged to dress in keeping with the movies aesthetic which most did.. The next stage again via email was you were assigned a designated roll...a role you say Yes I say as this is an immersive interaction within a Movie type environment which involved roll playing talking with a cast of actors and taking on challenges.
This was the precursor to entertainment, food, then a sit down to watch the Movie..

Now I went to quite a few SS screenings and whilst Dr Strangelove was very good my favourite had to be.....
StarWars
The son of a woman I used to work with, is in films/lighting/extra and he worked on that set. I saw a few behind the scenes photographs and was sworn to secrecy

I bet he regrets inviting mum though

Mum: <sotto voce> "I'm stuck, what do I do next?"
Son: "Go talk to the Jawas"
Mum: <sotto voce>"Which ones are they??"
Son: "The little ones in the brown robes"
Mum: "I've done that, nothing happens"
Son: <sigh> "Go to him (points) and get that. Give that to them, and they'll give you a token. Use the token to get on the space ship to the next location
........
Son: "I'll see you later"

We don't know how much we can trust the Mayor, like you said he killed the assassin before they could refute the Mayor's word, but my own impression was that, if the Mayor is slightly truthful in that the idea to assassinate Boba came from the Hutts, he told him to go to Garsa's because The Twins would invariably be going there to either collect Tribute from her or to reaffirm/assert their own control over her Sanctuary. It definitely feels like they were coming down the street towards her place and only stopped and then did not continue on because of their encounter with Boba. Maybe Garsa was attempting to play both sides, paying off both Boba and the Hutts, but regardless it seemed like the Twins were on their way to her place, and the Mayor knew they would be going there and so sent Boba there.

...and shoehorning her into the episode is a problem?lol

If i was to complain about shoehorning someone into an episode, it would be Mr. "Apologies". lol

Agreed. The Cousins used the term " Usurp" ( i don't believe them) why? It's obvious. If Bib usurped from them, you really think they would let him live that long? Then Boba comes in ( Outsider) and takes out Bib, establishes authority and immediately the Hutts have an issue with it. So we DO know he was working for the Hutts. If Bib wasn't, im sure Sasquatches Big Brother could have taken him out at any time. Bib was living pretty high on the hog when Fett fired him. If he wasn't set up by the Hutts then where was all his wealth coming from and why did he seem so relaxed? If he stole power, he would be looking over his shoulder quite a bit(atleast for the Hutts) unless someone with more power, more wealth set him up. Bib seemed like a sitting duck...a lame duck rather.
I misspoke...The Cousins did NOT use the term "Usurp"it was Boba who said that Bib usurped Jabbas territory...disregard what i said, i'm an idiot. Although that is what Boba believed happenned doesn't mean that it did happen that way but probably is where they are taking us...so i apologize for any confusion James Kenobi 1138
