The Book of Boba Fett, a thrilling Star Wars adventure, finds legendary bounty hunter Boba Fett and mercenary Fennec Shand navigating the galaxy’s underworld when they return to the sands of Tatooine to stake their claim on the territory once ruled by Jabba the Hutt and his crime syndicate.

The Book of Boba Fett stars Temuera Morrison and Ming-Na Wen. Jon Favreau, Dave Filoni, Robert Rodriguez, Kathleen Kennedy, and Colin Wilson are the executive producers. Karen Gilchrist and Carrie Beck serve as co-executive producers, with John Bartnicki producing and John Hampian as co-producer.

This looks like a painting to me, not a photo.

It does kinda look like a painting. However, I hope the armor in this image is reflective of the show. There seems to be added weathering and scratches, which imo looks better than mando s2 boba.
I agree, the weathering is an improvement over the fresh coat in S2.

I'm waiting for him to fix that dent..

If I remember right, they just recognized him as a real Mandalorian so maybe before he didn't have access to armorers? In the old EU (Republic Commando novels in particular), Kal Skirata or Walon Vau says that Jango had cheap durasteel armor and not Beskar like theirs. Of course Beskar is super cool in this show so they would probably say Boba had Beskar armor.

If Disney is involved his favorite snack will be Los Polo's chicken.

Edit: Actually what with a certain Former Dark sword wealding character that's not too much of a stretch!...

But in All seriousness The Book of Bobba sent chills down my spine when I watched the end credits of the show and wow That Reveal!
Roll on December...

I would hope that a battle-weary Mr Fett renounces his grimly violent ways, and undergoes a spiritual transformation. Just as G’Kar from Babylon 5 went from being a stereotypical cartoon SF lizard to a Messiah figure and saviour of his oppressed people. And thus the Book of Boba Fett would be born!

I personally think that has the potential to be much more interesting than just a bunch of episodes of fighting. Of course, whether Temuera Morrison has the acting chops to pull off that metamorphosis, the way the late Andreas Katsulas did with such breathtaking conviction, is another thing. ;)

I REALLY hope that this show delves into his past a bit more. Fill out some of the EU stories from after RotJ but before Mando. I liked the old story about someone finding his armor and doing bounty jobs as Boba, but then Boba arranges a meeting in a cantina where he roasts the imposter and gets his armor back. I know we now have the whole Cobb Vanth story, but still. 'Twas cool. And then there was that main storyline from Tales of the Bounty Hunters where he was tracking down a Devaronian nicknamed 'The Butcher of Montellian Serat' and transports him back to his planet to be executed, and all of the morality surrounding that. (more on that here: The Last One Standing: The Tale of Boba Fett)

I always wanted to see an older Fett square off with an older Solo, trying to relive his glory days....

But alas.

Whaddaya mean "flashback"? He's closer to Boba's age in canon than Tem is. Dan's 34. Boba's ~40-42. Tem's almost 61. Men tend to look pretty same-ish through their 30s and into their 40s -- especially if they spend most of their time in a helmet and out of the sun. Tend to look more different between 40 and 60 as age starts to have an impact. I adore Tem. I was handler/escort at DragonCon when the Mandalorian Mercs inducted him as an honorary member and he performed a haka for Tom right there in the autograph hall in gratitude. If we get a series in the next little bit set out around the time of the Sequel Trilogy, he'd be my go-to for a more aged Boba Fett. But right here, right now, he's too old for the character as he is.

Why I'm jumping up and down to make him "Spar" or a Spar analogue -- rogue insane clone trooper who thinks he's Boba and went to work for Jabba. Why the ESB and ROTJ suits appear in parallel though the OT (they used the ROTJ suit, modified, for all the Special Edition footage for both ANH and ROTJ, so it's consistent for Tatooine Boba throughout). Tem looks damn good, his fighting form is great, I love the new costume... I just want to see this, too:

(And even that picture's a few years old, now...)
