This is what I’m talking about.

Disney making a vault of scanned actors/actresses
I guess this was inevitable for all studios. Hope they do right by the performers. And that’s from someone who has always done their part in the background for their duty, and career, no matter where or when or how.

No to derail but
Does anyone know if there will be a gallery’s behind the scenes? Nothing on google search and there’s a lot to shift through in this forum finding any info on it

Once if they ever do perfect Lip movement its Game Over Man!
I bet like Carrie Fisher and All..once you sign away your likeness I bet there is a clause a bit like samples on Music that under so many seconds of time its free or was..
Any excuse to not pay an actor

Haven’t heard anything yet.. I have a friend inside who got to see the season 1-2 behind the scenes a few weeks early

I got a email into him but haven’t heard back yet.. I imagine they will

The tech will certainly change over the years (month maybe:unsure:) and the need for flesh and blood will be reduced to a minimum.
I mean, the salary of the "bankable Star" is crazy in my view (another discussion, I'm sure). Contract will have to be negotiated, rights to likeness, ancillary and so-on. Other segments of the industry will be modified/changed drastically also. Who needs a construction crew to build a set?
Who needs a costume designer to create a physical costume?
Those jobs will be transformed as just a designer/concept artist. Since there's no need for looping anymore, that clause is removed from the contract as well. The publicity campaigns, to present the movie, will be done with these designers/concept/CGI artists only.
I can see the future: "The new Hollywood blockbuster made with real actors and real crew":rolleyes:

Im totally against this whole technology, I don’t think it’s cool or more importantly “morally” right

If the actor/actress is alive and gives permission ok.. but now it seems that Disney thinks they own your likeness…

Another thing they have tried to do to make it feel alright is “we asked family members if we could use their likeness” which is fine..

But if I was an actor, I wouldn’t want someone cgi me.. even if my kids say it’s ok.. how can you check with the dead?

It’s not right..
