The Book of Boba Fett

So I’m not a fan of a character “dying” and then bringing him back IF the circumstances are feasible. With that, I can totally see Cad Bane coming back. Look at the spear end of of Boba’s gaffi. The tip is about the length of a small thumb. Granted, it would hurt like hell but hardly substantial enough to pierce any vital organs. Now if Boba would have in addition cut off Bane’s head, then he sure as hell better stay dead.

Well it's done!

Oof.

Hey all ya Boba nerds did it to yo selves... he went out like a punk in Jedi... got a little bit of clout back in Mando II, and now back to punk.

Is everyone SURE they want Kenobi?

I personally can't wait to watch a great General of the Clone Wars go to war with the other people at the Tatooine farmer's Market for best price on space veggies.

For those who cared, I finally started that Luke Skywalker costume thread I was talking about. Would love other people's input!

This has been my biggest question… what is he a crime lord of? Jabba taxed the moisture farmers… but now with fett being a honest good guy.. what crimes are he committing?
It's so weird. He didn't want to commit any crimes, he just got paid by all the other smaller crimelords, who had to get their money by committing the same crimes Boba wouldn't commit himself... Makes no sense.

And yet wouldn’t leave Garsa’s before the battle in order to protect the citizens- I’m sorry, have to stop now, my head hurts…

Don't bother trying to figure it out. It's just a mess.
Unmanaged, unaccountable incompetence making some of us (or at least me) rethink our D+ subscription.

I was hoping we'd see Boba Fett as a bounty hunter not a magnanimous crime lord lol. Had they started him off as bounty hunter or used flashbacks of being a bounty hunter to show what he didn't like about it, it could've made his motivations more clear and his new path as Daiymo more reasonable. The concept that a family is stronger that he learned from the Tuscans is fine but it seems like one part of a larger picture.

Also they really should've used flashbacks to show a bit more of his rivalry with Cad Bane. I feel like there was much more to that than was in the CW.

If this thread has taught me anything is that I am absolutely DONE with any excuses containing the term "fan expectations."

If you go to a restaurant and your meal is served half cooked or not cooked at all, the chef and other diners have less than zero right to blame you for not eating it. All too often I keep reading that fans are impossible to please when the truth is they just want a cooked meal. Let's put the onus back where it belongs. On the cook. Stop. Blaming. Diners. Whether you work for the restaurant or you're eating there as a guest it doesn't excuse you shaming the customer.

If we're sticking with the cook analogy let's also consider that you're a paying customer and all the culinary training in the world doesn't excuse a chef from under cooking your meal or serving it to you raw. Manage your kitchen. Hire better wait staff who refuse to serve uncooked food. Hire a new chef if need be. If you expect to not have the meal sent back, or for the wait staff to get tipped, we require good service.

Writing is the same way. If they honestly expect us to keep buying their products then they need to do better. Why should fans manage their expectations? We don't NEED managing. Manage your writing staff. Get better editors. We aren't their employees. We don't work for them. They work for US.

This isn't entitlement. It's consumerism. If they want my money they need to earn it. Every job I ever worked, if something went wrong the blame was put on US the employees. Whether that's fair or not DID NOT MATTER. I was blamed for things far beyond my control or position in the company. That's just the reality of business. Why Hollywood feels exempt from that is totally beyond me.

So let's just be real and put an end to using their failures as a cudgel against their customers. Having your peers pile on only makes things worse. Vote with your wallet.
Perfectly said! Bravo, sir

I expect the typing to be furious.

I'm still completely confused what exactly is "Crime Lord" about his empire... He seems Anti-Crime Lord if anything..
I can't get one person to tell me what his product is or how his Crime Empire actually runs. I already had one person try to simply defend it as “well casinos in our world were owned by crime lords, so thats why”
Ughh
It’s literally a story written by gleeful children smashing action figures into each other with absolutely NO foundational writing work done beyond that…

Yayyy Boba Fett! Hero of the people! Murderer of countless innocents in the course of his redemption but its ok because hes a Disney Princess now
Seriously, these guys might have been jerks, but i don't think makes this any less messed up than it is now lolll.

Yeah that’s what I was referring to earlier. The whole benevolent crimelord thing doesn’t make much sense at all. Why even go that route? Go the “lone ranger” route if he just wanted to go goody two shoes and rid the oppressed people of the drugrunners. Lol
