I have little doubt it will match that if not exceed! Will the Kenobi thread blow up to over 325 pages in its limited 6 episodes? Can it sustain like this one? If it does I sincerely hope it is for better reasons
I cant wait for both the show and the thread !I have little doubt it will match that if not exceed!
I agree. The passion for Obiwan appears to be extremely high in this forum- much more so than Boba Fett (we’re not The Dented Helmet). He also has much more screen time in the theater and Clone War series- that will likely generate tremendous discussion. I look forward to it.I have little doubt it will match that if not exceed!
I am super excited as well but also very nervous after this last series!I cant wait for both the show and the thread !
Seriously, this is just insulting to the word "cheesy".Possibly the cheesiest scene of the episode. My eyes were rolling so hard it gave me a migraine.View attachment 1544404
This has been my biggest question… what is he a crime lord of? Jabba taxed the moisture farmers… but now with fett being a honest good guy.. what crimes are he committing? So if Fett it done with letting there be spice trade, what exactly is he the "crime lord" of now? Street gangs? He's just basically the happy mayor now.
It's so weird. He didn't want to commit any crimes, he just got paid by all the other smaller crimelords, who had to get their money by committing the same crimes Boba wouldn't commit himself... Makes no sense. This has been my biggest question… what is he a crime lord of? Jabba taxed the moisture farmers… but now with fett being a honest good guy.. what crimes are he committing?
And yet wouldn’t leave Garsa’s before the battle in order to protect the citizens- I’m sorry, have to stop now, my head hurts…It's so weird. He didn't want to commit any crimes, he just got paid by all the other smaller crimelords, who had to get their money by committing the same crimes Boba wouldn't commit himself... Makes no sense.
Don't bother trying to figure it out. It's just a mess. It's so weird. He didn't want to commit any crimes, he just got paid by all the other smaller crimelords, who had to get their money by committing the same crimes Boba wouldn't commit himself... Makes no sense.
I expect the typing to be furious.I cant wait for both the show and the thread !
Perfectly said! Bravo, sirIf this thread has taught me anything is that I am absolutely DONE with any excuses containing the term "fan expectations."
If you go to a restaurant and your meal is served half cooked or not cooked at all, the chef and other diners have less than zero right to blame you for not eating it. All too often I keep reading that fans are impossible to please when the truth is they just want a cooked meal. Let's put the onus back where it belongs. On the cook. Stop. Blaming. Diners. Whether you work for the restaurant or you're eating there as a guest it doesn't excuse you shaming the customer.
If we're sticking with the cook analogy let's also consider that you're a paying customer and all the culinary training in the world doesn't excuse a chef from under cooking your meal or serving it to you raw. Manage your kitchen. Hire better wait staff who refuse to serve uncooked food. Hire a new chef if need be. If you expect to not have the meal sent back, or for the wait staff to get tipped, we require good service.
Writing is the same way. If they honestly expect us to keep buying their products then they need to do better. Why should fans manage their expectations? We don't NEED managing. Manage your writing staff. Get better editors. We aren't their employees. We don't work for them. They work for US.
This isn't entitlement. It's consumerism. If they want my money they need to earn it. Every job I ever worked, if something went wrong the blame was put on US the employees. Whether that's fair or not DID NOT MATTER. I was blamed for things far beyond my control or position in the company. That's just the reality of business. Why Hollywood feels exempt from that is totally beyond me.
So let's just be real and put an end to using their failures as a cudgel against their customers. Having your peers pile on only makes things worse. Vote with your wallet.
I expect the typing to be furious.
I'm still completely confused what exactly is "Crime Lord" about his empire... He seems Anti-Crime Lord if anything..I was hoping we'd see Boba Fett as a Bounty hunter not a magnanimous crime lord lol. Had they started him off as bounty hunter or used flashbacks of being a bounty hunter to show what he didn't like about it, it could've made his motivations more clear and the his new path as Daiymo more reasonable. The concept that a family is stronger that he learned from the Tuscans is fine but it seems like one part of a larger picture.
Yeah that’s what I was referring to earlier. The whole benevolent crimelord thing doesn’t make much sense at all. Why even go that route? Go the “lone ranger” route if he just wanted to go goody two shoes and rid the oppressed people of the drugrunners. LolIt's so weird. He didn't want to commit any crimes, he just got paid by all the other smaller crimelords, who had to get their money by committing the same crimes Boba wouldn't commit himself... Makes no sense.
