The Book of Boba Fett

This amuses me, only because of how much HATE she got for that first Mando season 1 episode she directed.

But I do agree that the eps she directed in BOBF were much better. Too bad they didn't have Boba actually do anything IN them. :D

I guess I'm of the few who liked all of her episodes. I don't think she deserves the hate she got, and loved the nods to her dad in S1 and 2. I thought she was quite solid.

It should have been called Tatooine
All that happened would have hit better without the need for Any one titular character taking centre stage..
It needed a more even flow which this might have given it and less discord with viewers relying on one character to carry the show...

We might have got more Jawa stuff
Etc..
The Jawas were by far the best thing to come out of this

I don’t get it nor will I ever
I think they were trying to imply a Tribe type element like back when we were young single and carefree
We were Invincible back then...Or thought we were
Driving Too fast
Drinking Too much
Doing things to Annoy the Grown Ups..

They released a black series jabba palace, I would have died to have that as a kid.. I have a cardboard one I never took out of the packaging…

The finale was average at best but expected based on previous offerings. We all have particular things that drive us crazy. The fight scenes were perplexing and made little sense- "I'll distract the droid!" How, exactly? By standing right next to you on a rooftop so they'll shoot at us both?? My issue was the lack of character development. I didn't have any backstory (even a couple minutes like Migs gave us in episode 7) for the supporting characters, wasn't emotionally invested in anyone and as a result, didn't really care what happened to them. We all had some great ideas about the possibilities for so many characters that were either killed off quickly or just stayed in the background. Many possibilities wasted. Also, holy mackerel! Rancors grow quickly! Tem's pearly whites in the hokey final scene were just so perfect because I was cringing pretty much the entire walk through the city. Halliwax , I immediately though of The Professional as well with Fennec.
To sum it up-

We also had a "double cross" in the finale but one that was not completely unexpected. No WOW moments at all. I did like seeing the Rancor (finally) and the Mando and Fett flying scene, however. I didn't need the constant overexplaining of each situation or Bane repeatedly bringing up the Tuskens- if I say Tuskens again, will it make you mad? How about now? The only slight drama was between Bane and Boba. The overall tension could have been increased if there were actual casualties amongst the citizens. (I don't think Bane is dead, BTW.) I hope to hear from everyone on the Obiwan thread to continue the discussions we had here!

Yeah, if they just had to insist going down this mobster story route, usually those have lots of intrigue, doublecrossing, backstabbing, etc. We didn’t really get much of that, beyond the betrayal in the finale and I guess the killing of the Tuskens and Garsa. Most of the characters we weren’t invested in enough to even care. The only thing I kinda felt emotion for were the poor loyal Gamorreans falling to their deaths that were never mentioned again. Lol!

Heck, there were a lot of neat ideas and concepts mentioned in this very thread that would’ve been better than what we got. Seems like almost none of the theories panned out nor was there much of anything that was particularly unexpected or clever. Not even the Kamino flashbacks ever amounted to anything.

That’s true- everyone else lives! I actually felt bad for them!
I couldn’t believe every one of those ridiculous Mods lived. I found it humorous how they seemed to be used as scouts and spies when they stick out like a sore thumb, especially on their Skittles colored Vespas… I did read recently they were indeed Favreau’s idea, so we can’t blame RR or anyone else in that case.

This ending was meh, i felt like all the character's universally shrugged their shoulders and carried on with their lives with no real "Win" or measure of success here. To the point where I just wanted someone to say "Now what?"

I'm ok with this just being a single season, and continuing with Mando as the main Mandalorian brand with Fett making a cameo like he cameo'd in his own series lol.

I get they wanted this to be like the Godfather and a spaghetti western, unfortunately it made Boba Fett a boring character. Too much time talking without his helmet and not enough pew pewing.
