The Book of Boba Fett

Why would there be a Stormtrooper in the Sarlaac?
Good point...the easy answer is that they needed something in there with oxygen so Boba could escape, another possibility is how long it takes to digest(who knows when and how it got in there). Maybe one of the Hutt's took him for a long drive out in the country and disposed of him. But either way, it still had oxygen left in it so i would say he hadn't been in there for very long but i know we all expected to see otther "things" in there.

Anyone notice that serving droid has those grease zerk looking things on his shoulders like Artoo did in The Mandalorian? What's with those? I've never seen them before on Astromechs.

Also anyone else do an eye roll when the butchered Cantina Band started playing?
I believe the guys who built the droids did that on purpose to mess with us.. they did the same thing in TFA just to mess with us

This is why I’ve argued he should have lost his helmet while getting digested, and then he can struggle to get it back on and protect himself/breathe. The trooper seems to be a perplexing inclusion

I think the trooper fell in from when vader sent them down to find the Droids in ANH

There is also a great theory that the empire sent them to jabba to be reprimanded, and jabba sent them to the pit
Was it not a bit lazy though that they didn't even make it a Sandy so as to better support that type of theory? Guys one of the only regular stormies on Tatooine

We can be happy that they did not took an Ewok in the Sarlac. :D

For me the Sarlac is like a big ant lion that has normally lot of sand over his mouth. One wrong step and you are food.
It was a good thing that Ryan Johnson wasn't directing this episode or there might have been an ewok on a rotisserie somewhere being eaten by a wookie in the middle of the Tatooinne desert...( Remember!! completely unexpected equals great writing);)

Good thought but they already ruled that out when they decided in the scene where Boba gets dressed by the droids, to have his helmet sealed to his head Vader style...He isn't losing that anytime soon unless of course, it did fall off in the sarlacc and when he got the helmet back made an improvement guaranteeing it wasn't coming off easy.

Edit: Then there is that Jango/lightsaber event that happened....it remained on but i could see maybe the teeth grabbing it and helping it off but unlikely due to the teeth in the sarlacc pit angling down preventing anything coming back up the same way.

I think the first episode was fine, if a little slow, but I think it's the premise itself that is kind of boring. A crime boss sitting on a throne much of the time, with no wall of monitors in front of him...I mean, what does he really do with most of his day except have people come talk to him?

So they sent him on a walkabout of the town. Watching Fett try to figure out "So what does a Crime Boss really do for most of the time?" was like watching the writers figure out the same thing. It's not the most exciting premise, but we'll see what they're able to do with it.

Also, I think the show has a VERY tough act to follow in the Mandalorian, which if I remember had a very strong first episode.

Temuera's age doesn't bother me in the slightest, and is easily explained by the effect of the sarlaac. His paunch, not as much. I'm amazed that, when offered this role of a lifetime, he couldn't be bothered to lose the weight.

Just went back and watched "The Marshall" episode...Can't get over how well Timothy Olyphant(Cobb Vanth) looked in the Boba Fett armor given the fact that he did the head movements so well and his walk...and He and the late Jeremy bulloch were the same height and stature basically.

had they a used a guy of Tems stature to play Cobb Vanth, we would have said that's clearly not Boba and they would have lost the initial element of surprise when Cobb took off the helmet...yet they used Olyphant to decieve us into thinking it was initially Boba...lol

Hats off to Timothy Olyphant ...he needs to come back again in the book of Boba...great performance and an AMAZING season 2 premier...we were spoiled with that one!!
