The Book of Boba Fett

Luke and Ashoka together. WTH!!!!!!!!! When did they meet? They must have had a lot to talk about considering they are two of the few who faced Vader and survived. Plus Luke thought the Jedi were all dead.
Luke: Where were you during that whole, you know, rebelling against the Empire thing? We sure could've used your help and it would've saved a lot of lives.
Ashoka: I decided to just sit this one out.
Luke: ....We can do that??? (makes note for possible use in 20 years)

I have no idea what that is.. kind of scared..

Its not what but who you know ;)

To me Luke Skywalker IS Star Wars, though I never asked or wanted to see more stories with him. His journey ended in 1983 and I can live with that. The reason why fans are so mixed on what happened to his character after ROTJ is because there's no story worth telling. The emotional fulfillnent and arc of the character is over. Period. That's why nothing since can ever satisfy because it lacks true catharsis. Regardless of how anyone feels about ROTJ as a whole, Luke's story was concluded to perfection.

The fact that he shows up, or Ashoka, or Boba Fett, or some other legacy character means the people in charge don't believe in their own new characters enough to write stories without having to constantly rely on the past. I've said it many times but it bears repeating. Just because you CAN do something doesn't mean you SHOULD.

I would have stuck with the Mandalorian if it hadn't turned into a cameo of the week show. That's why I never bothered with Fett.

For those who are praying for a retcon of the ST and Jake from TLJ, no amount of "moar" Luke is going to redeem those stories if they're still canon which is why I scoff at the notion that Filoni or Favreau are the saviours of Star Wars.
Yes...Luke Skywalker is Star Wars i agree 100%. So how come we OT guys don't just pack up our proverbial bags and just leave if its ALL OVER? Because we have hope...Like Luke Skywalker...That there is still good left in Star Wars. Us OT guys and gals who want to proclaim Luke IS Star Wars better start searching within and be consistent about our walk lining up with our talk....AND...try finding some good in things instead of letting the rot spoil it all for you. Are your lives over? Has your story been defined...your arc in life? If you are 20, 50, or 80? By saying Luke's story is done.."Perfect" as you say and your idea of him ended in 1983 and everything is ruined because of the ST then maybe our "arc" as a fan has been concluded too? No...i don't believe it is.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE EPISODE 6...LOVED IT! LOVED LUKE...LOVED AHSOKA...LOVED COBB VANTH ...LOVED CAD BANE...LOVED GROGU, MANDO AND R2D2...WAS IT PERFECT? NOPE...NOTHING MADE BY MAN IS OR EVER WILL BE BUT IT WAS GOOD ENOUGH AND YES...I WANT TO SEE THIS LUKE...THE LUKE THAT IS HOPEFULL...PATIENT...MATURED...COMPASSIONATE...A MASTER!!!

They most likely did what they could with prosthetics, but it looked like his mouth was animated. Ahsoka and the Pykes were changed to suit live action prosthetic work better...I thought he looked perfect! Just needed a tooth pick...
I don't think that it was animated, I think that what made it look off or animated was that the actor was trying to talk through those prosthetic teeth. The bulkier the teeth the more awkward the mouth looks when talking and they'll always have this puffy mouthed look to them. Just watch any episode of TNG with Klingons or DS9 with Quark and look at their mouths, they have the same puffy mouthed look as the
Cad Bane
actor did. His voice was also almost certainly dubbed in too, because there's no way that the actor could have been speaking that clearly with those teeth.

This was quick...I love what they did, but I can't deny that this is pretty damn good and might have preferred it. Can't complain, because he still gave me Man in Black vibes, and I adore it.

But someone needs to hire this guy now...

It was, it was the voice actor from CW, Corey Burton.

Dragging this back out from the depths of this thread, but it's listed somewhere that this is Barris' crest?

View attachment 1541816

It actually appears on almost every door in the padawan/jedi quarters hallway. This is just a crest that shows where different ranks of jedi are housed, I'm going to assume. Which means Grogu and the other 3 jedi were in the hallway outside their rooms.
So on Wookieepedia it's now listed as an Unidentified Jedi Crest. The reason for believing to belong to Barriss, is because of it's similarities to her facial markings. And apparently Yoda had his own crest. So it kinda seems like Jedi have their own personal symbol. Unidentified crest/Canon

I’ll say what everyone else said. The deepfake was a big win for this episode. They really listened to the reactions after Mando S2. Hats off.
I actually didn't care that much for the deepfake, not that it wasn't good, it was a whole lot better than the one they did at the end of Mado S2, but in a lot of scenes, it just didn't look like Mark to me. Not in a fake/bad deepfake kind of way, but like they used a look alike that looked a lot like Mark at that age but not exactly, kind of like if they used Sebastian Stan and did a little makeup work on him to make him look more like Mark.

As you said, I still liked what they did in the live show, but this looks great.

I just wanted others to have a say...and i started reading comments and got heated so wanted to take a deep breath...and mourning the loss of a certain Twilek...Loved episode 6...too much to respond to
I think he meant when it comes to Batman. ;)

If they are made properly you can talk through Treacle..
Most if not All Dental Prosthetics are made over a hard gumshield shell..as long as there is no coverage over soft tissues or roof of mouth there will be no or very little impeding of speech..

Sorry guys, she's a goner. Jennifer all but confirmed it:

She better not come out with robotic Lekku or this desk I'm currently typing on, will be flipped over.
Folks, this and the replies quoting it should have been spoiler encoded. :(

It's weird though, because in CW and this episode, that symbol is on several doors in the living quarters. I think it's just a coincidence.
