A Berserker would think twice about rumbling with your predator. Great work sir, the blue hued armor is an outstanding departure from the norm. I also am working on my own original pred. based around a bio my wife bought for me.
ST LOUIS WIZARD CON BEST TEAM UP WINNERS !!
Here we are in st louis con killin it !
It was a blast here are the pics We were the most impressive costumes at the show they put us on the local news and gave us V.I.P. treatment we had to have security escorts to get through the crowds. It took us 2 hours to get in because of all the people taking pictures and when we finally got inside the building we jammed up the entrance and security had to escort us into the building through a frieght hallway . it was insane !!!!
If anyone has questions feel free to ask there is simply too much to tell.
sorry i don't have many pics with all the hotties but my wife was taking the pictures
WE decieded to take all three of my suits to the kc con in 2 weeks and dennis butt is coming with his New suit that makes 4 total and it is going to be a rockin time
i am 5.11 and in the suit i am 7.3 to the top of the bio mask. the lifts are a little hard on my feet so i am gonna drop them a inch so it wont wear out my legs. i tower above everybody.
yes it does get a black one and you will never see it. I used to lace them up but i took them all out and put in zippers it is super fast getting them on and off when you need to take breaks and get water.
YES IT WAS !!!! We were treated like royalty there it was a total blast i can't wait to go again !
Now here are the upgrades i did between the st louis trip and the KC con i added some leather across the back of the leg for a nice transition from my leg to the foot section. I think i pulled it off , and here is some computer pieces i added sound with 8 differend noises i hooked them up to a 30 watt speaker with a canikit amp . If you are thinking of doing sound i highly recommend doing it like this you can put what ever sounds you want and have it as loud as you want. I purchased the entire kit from replica props he was very helpful and walked me through the entire process until i had what i wanted . and i did it for under 70.00 with the amp you can't beat that. I also added some lights to the back of the backpack to add some extra wow factor. and i added a background music when i was walking around to add some effect it was very cool.
So here it all is. I have more of the wiring i will upload when i get to the shop.
ok here is the pics of the board and all the stuff . i know nothing about this stuff and i was able to pull it off with the help of a buddy who wired it all up for me. this was done all for under 100.00 and was thrown together in 3 days before a con we went to and it worked perfectly thank you replica props . That guy knows what hes doing and is super helpful. The breadboard is hooked up to a amp that you can get off of his links and i hooked it up to 2--- 30 watt speakers . good thing the amp has a volume control or it would blow my head off when i would roar . and the small black box is what powers the amp , it is a 9 volt with a on off button you need yhat because the amp has constant power but one battery lasted me 2 full days at the show. and it is mounted outside of the pack for easy acess . and the front 2 buttons control a loop sounds
And that would be his lurking sound and his clicking noises. Also very cool for just walking around . People are blown away by the movie sounds .
This set up is a must if you want sound i just ran a few wires to a button i had mounted on my glove and a loud roar would sound . it was very cool , it scarred most small kids to death . next i am going to make the mouth open and close with the sound , and yes bob @ replica props is going to help me do that also with what i have . man i can't wait . and i will be working on moving gauntlets , Hmmmm maybe i should revisit topnots threads . hey jeff i need a little help here !! LOL
