The Amazing Spider-Man 2/Comic redesigned Costume

Hello everybody,

Back when the Amazing Spiderman 2 came out, I got a little taste of what it was like to dress as spidey with a cheap handmade mask and an airbrushed shirt, and I loved it. So I decided to bring it up a notch and go to Comic Con in the full suit.
I was originally planning on attempting to make the suit from scratch, but due to a lack of time, I decided to just send ken's pattern (without the front and back spiders) to a zentai site (whether its Zentai-Zentai or ZentaiZone is yet to be determined EDIT: Going with ZentaiZone), then I'll puff paint it and attach silicone spiders to the front and back.
Now, when I first saw the movie, I LOVED the costume. It was my favorite part of the movie, I would even say the costume was better than the script; but there were a few things I didn't like that I wanted to change for this costume build:
1. The front spider. I don't understand why the spider has to stretch down the entire torso. So I made a crappy photoshop rendering of what I'm shooting for in terms of spider-design.
spiderman.jpgsmaller legs on the spider, and moved up the suit a little bit.
2. The other thing I want to change is the spider on the back. I know it looks like a tick, but I miss that round, fat spider from the comics
Untitled-1.jpg pardon the poor photoshoping
3. I may or may not change the lenses to have a larger frame.

I will also be making my own face shell, lenses, and I'm going to try and make a web shooter that shoots some sort of silly string or just string using air pressure, or I might just make a coil gun to launch a metal projectile that's attached to string.

I'll be posting here when I make any progress, and as I go along any advice you have would be appreciated.
I can barely wait to get started on this thing:D

Get your suit from Zentai Zone if you need to. They are more trust worthy and you will get a better quality suit.

I know they have a better reputation on this site, but the reason I'm debating between the two is because zentai-zentai is offering me more for less. For a custom costume, zentai zone asks for me to resize the file before I send it to them. Fair enough. But if I want it to fit my measurements they won't custom tailor it, they'll just ask me to resize the individual pieces of the suit to fit my chest, waist, and hip size (Which is difficult for a photo-shop noob). Zentai-zentai on the other hand just ask for my measurements and then they'll resize the file for me and then tailor the suit to my measurements; and they'll do it for less.
But of course the price probably means better quality.
So I'll be either gambling the quality (zentai-zentai) or gambling the fit (zentai zone).:unsure

EDIT:
I decided to gamble the fit

Did you change every individual piece? I know it's a bit of a gamble and I'm doing it myself. If you have any tips please help :p I too am a noob and I'm in the process of ordering one

I just resized the file as a whole based off my height.
I figured that it would be like buying a generic costume in a certain size, like a small medium or large; not everything is going to fit perfectly, but it should still fit. But if you can figure out how to resize each piece to fit you're measurements, I suggest you do that for a better fit.
Also, you might already know but I might as well just throw it out there just in case: if you have any custom zipper ideas (for me it was the forearms and double crotch zipper) just ask them to add this and send them a few pics.

Thanks, I heard about it but never really considered it but I'll probably just do a crotch zipper and a neck zipper to fit my head in and out of it.

That's only if you buy eyes right? Because I already have some lenses
No, I didn't buy the eyes either. Apparently if you don't specify that you don't want any eyes on the suit, they'll include the eyes with the purchase and attach them to the suit.
It's nice of them to throw in a pair of lenses, but it's inconvenient if you already own a pair.

The people over at Zentai-Zone were nice enough to send me a picture before they sent it out. pic_3.jpgpic_4.jpg
Hopefully the lightness of the colors (especially the blue) is just from the lighting where the guy took the photo.

Wow,looks good! Did they say how much it would cost?
I actually already payed for it, but im not comfortable talking about the price they gave me because it could vary. It was a fair price and depends on what kind of customization you want to get
