The Amazing Spider-man 2 - 3D Print Files/Pattern - FREE

Hi everyone, I'm really new here ( this is my very first post ) but I followed pretty much the whole thing! I would like to ask if somebody tried to maybe 3D print the webs file to make a mold or something, cause I'm trying to build a suit tracing ken's pattern on red shiny Lycra and I really don't want to ruin it with puff paint webs! Thank you guys in advance you are the best spider suits community!

If I were personally going to go balls out and try to reproduce the movie suit to the "T" I would be purchasing a bunch of silk screening materials.
I would screen the brick on colored fabric and screen the webs using a puff additive. All of this could be done in a fairly small space and for a lot less than trying to 3d print, smooth, mold, etc.

Oh ok I was already looking for that but I thought it was too difficult and expensive ( also I have no idea where I can find supplies for screen printing as here in Italy nobody seems to know what is it!! I live in a strange place I know ), but if u say that 3D printing and molding is more expensive I'll have to find some other ways..I was also thinking about 3d print the webs in the new "elasto plastic" from shapeways and glue it to the suit but I don't know if it will work or it's not stretching enough...if I don't find a solution than I'll go with the puff paint. Thank you very much for your answer and let me say your work is really awesome!! I'm attaching a picture of my fabric that I bought from a local shop they said it's Lycra so I don't know if it would be good for the screen printing. Thanks for the help

You can probably ask TJack if he can make you a custum frames and lens set. As for the honeycomb, you can replace the bricks on Ken's file, if you know how to use Photoshop well.

Do you know where Ken's file is? And do you mean that in Ken's file there's a honey comb pattern because i already have the TASM 2 file?

Ken's file is in the first post of this thread. You can turn off the brick pattern and if you know how to use Photoshop, you can easily replace the bricks with honeycombs.

What material do you guys recommend getting the front and back spiders printed on? Is shapeways a good way to go?

I'm thinking that you need to get it printed in plastic clean it up a bit and then make a mold so you can cast it in urethane... Unless of course shape ways is now offering a flexible material that would work.

Hey, I wanna use the single mask file and print it out on paper and trace the outline of the mask on red spandex, it would be cheaper rather than getting it printed. I'll prefer going through the effort to make it like that, what procedures will I need to follow (as of resizing?) to make this a success? Thanks.

Yeah I'm sure it would be cheaper. You might even be able to print out the bricks and the webbing lines on T-shirt transfer and iron it onto your spandex. They make a new flexible T-shirt transfer for stretchy types of material. And since you have to print it out in a tiled fashion you could hide the seams in the web lines.

Interesting idea, I'll definately look into it. If I print the files you have provided will they still come out in the size I need to wear?
