The Amazing Spider-man 2 - 3D Print Files/Pattern - FREE

I believe this is the one you're after.

Here is a version another member requested. I don't usually take requests, but I know when I go to print, this is probably the way I'm gonna go... or at least closer to it.

It's just a flat jpg with no muscle layers and a darker blue. Here is the link:

I'll keep it here as to not confuse it it with the original files.

enjoy!

Hey Ken, Great work!

I was wandering around the web and came across a spider man suit that looked like your free version but it was being sold if anyone knows how to locate the person to ask to stop selling a free file or at lease spread the word not to pay for it when it is available here for free.

Thanks but the first post says it all...

*NOTE: If you decide to take the pattern, call it your own, alter it to a newer outfit, post it on eBay, whatever, do as you please.
I just hope that it mainly gets into the hands of the folks on this board!

...of course it is appreciated if my name/website stays attached to the pattern, but people are gonna do what they want anyway, so good luck to him!

I'm calling out to those folks who have seen the actual suit in the flesh (spandex?) If you have seen it displayed, or by any wild chance have a swatch of the costumes fabric, can I get a PMS #??? Just a wild thought...

There's a bunch of display pics a dude posted a while back on this site.

Yeah, I know... I was just hoping that somebody may have taken a swatch book with them when they went to see it displayed... I know it sounds a little messed up but I thought I'd ask anyway... It's just so hard to match a color from a photograph all kinds of things come in to play such as the lighting the angle etc. etc.

also thought that somebody out there might've gotten a hold of a couple of pieces of fabric from the actual suit like I used to see floating around for the Raimi suit

I like where your head's at, Ken! Hope someone has a costume card or something you could use, because knowing your standards, whatever you're cooking up should be awesome.

Having a piece of one of the Raimi suits was a HUGE boost to my quality/coloration.

Also, just a heads up once I get through my busy period with work (AKA January and February) I'm going to be reaching out to you about a Spidey project you might enjoy.

I've examined the suit in person. I'm the guy who posted the display pics TheNewBlood mentioned.

The closest color I've seen so far to what I saw in person is the cardinal red used by Stanford University in their athletic uniforms. There's some issues with PMS codes, however, because the actual final hue can change depending on printing on different types of paper, different types of fabric, paint, etc.

It's a cool and deep red when compared to a primary red, but it can show up pinkish in certain direct light, just like the red on the film suit.

Stanford officially lists its cardinal red as:

  • Pantone: 201C, 201U
  • CMYK: 0-100-65-34
  • RGB: 140-21-21
  • Hex: 8C1515
Use Pantone or CMYK values for externally printed pieces, RGB values for documents printed in the office, and HEX numbers for web colors.

As for the blue, it is a simple navy blue, with black rubberized ink screenprinted onto it in a brick pattern.

Great info!
Thanks Lunaman

I have recently noticed that when some folks print my pattern, the feedback I get the most is that they changed the colors. I purposely put the colors layers to make this possible... but I would still like to get the base colors as close as humanly possible.

Any thoughts on this??

So I have never glued shooter pads on to the palms of a Spiderman suit before. I know that when you glue a chest spider on you must stretch the fabric a bit. Should I use the same concept for the shooter pads in order for them to stay on? I had noticed that the designated space on the Landrum file for the Landrum shooter pad is the same size, but when I stretch the glove the designated area gets larger then the actual shooter pad. Should I glue the pad onto the glove before or after i have stretched the fabric? Also, what glue should I use? I have Fabri-Tac... is that okay to use?

can you tack it on there temporarily without stretching to see how it works... If its no good then glue it on stretched... Maybe there is a happy medium? I know this really doesn't help you out now but the next release I'm going to remove those lines that outline the pad. Seems to be a fairly common problem.

Hey how do get the web files printed on to urethane what website do I use ?

I think most folks are using puff paint. If you were wanting to make the webbing in urethane, i'm pretty sure you would have to:
1st, download the vector files & extrude them.
2nd, either get them 3D printed or CNC'd into a piece of metal.
3rd, if you printed them in 3D, they need smoothing then molding.
4th cast them in urethane.

This was the way they did the Raimi suit, but it appears that in the case on ASM2 they silk screened the webbing and used a "puff" additive.

Hope that helps.

Ok, it's time for an update to my ASM2 file (v3).

These are the things I am changing so far.
-Red color. Will be darker.
-slightly thinner webbing-less drop shadow.
-no soles, just red
-no web shooter buttons
-thinner, more accurate seam lines
-fixing any bleed over of color, general tweaks.

Questions for you guys:
-Should I keep the finger pads?
-is there ever any alignment problems?
-Is the blue color working out ok for everyone?

Thanks. Any feedback is much appreciated!!!

Anyone having issues with downloading files with Google Drive ? Remaining time is undetermined, and it suddently blocks and fail.

Can someone help me please ? :3
