The Amazing Spider-man 2 - 3D Print Files/Pattern - FREE

Another question to anyone who can answer, what would you recommend to print the face shell using abs plastic or pla plastic? What is the difference?

What program was used to edit and to view the faceshell/3d objects?

Kenlandrum made his on 3ds Max, as stated on page 20 :)

Your print looks sweet btw cha0tic.

Man I wish I knew how to tell the seamstress what to do... I'm worried she wont know how to do it if she has no expertise in costume making

Thank you :)

looking at that guys thread i noticed one thing it is really nice but again the main part of the suit don;t line up which destroys the whole suit......here is my idea on that one part of the suit where the face meets up with the side of the face on the mask... now let me know if this is a good idea...delete the horizontal webbing from the side pieces and free hand the webbing to line up the face or have a printable pattern to trace or something on to the sewn suit that way it would look flawless....

I've never made a cast or anything like that, so instead of casting the soles would getting some vans or similar style shoe and getting a sheet of rubber and trace the sole from shoe, the wear shoe inside of suit and glue soles on the outside work?

I dont like van much , but in the movie do they use van shoes for the suit ?

wow... i posted another post a few hours ago (because I like in UK i normally have to wait between replies if I post them in the morning).

ANYWAYS, this is something else I wanted to include; here's a really cool thread that I know some of you have looked at already...
After looking at it I'm gonna be giving puff-painting the blue a go... maybe not black though... dno

Ok so I have been looking at this thread for awhile but this is my first post. I was thinking about making a suit out of fabric that looks exactly like in the movie and not print it out onto white Lycra from a company. I really like the file for the shapes for the suit and was wondering how I could use it as a template for the different parts and webbing but I don't know how to go about doing that. Maybe I can so how print it on to paper and trace it out or something. I can 3D print the face mask and all but I really want to use the fabric I found and use this file as a template. Also I don't know how to resize it and was wondering if someone might like to help me with it who knows how or can help me figure it out. And finally I don't know how to sew the suit or even see for that so if there is something or someone on here that can help me with that as well that would be awesome. I also want to sew the suit more like the movie where the blue fabric is separated in the pants and put zippers there (which of course I don't know how to see a hidden zipper). I know I'm asking for a lot of help but I learn super quick and really want the best suit possible. Thanks (and if anyone wants to help your awesome just pm and I would really appreciate it!)

you answeered your own question print it to paper and trace it .. there is a thread somewhere .. where a guy did that same method....to sew a hidden zipper you need a special zipper foot for your sewing machine.....to resize you need photo shop or some other image software...

a lot of peoples suits who ever sews them does not sew them properly...IMG_1441.JPGi know this is not his print...i know the dude forgot one sew line to paint... but the yellow circles show how off the lines are even if it is minor it is still the worst part to screw up...so if those lines were not there you can make the lines perfect...by doing it yourself....

I'd imagine it's not that difficult Tapz.
I'm guessing you already have a sheet of fabric and want to draw the template onto it?

Should be simple enough!

Get someone to place the fabric on your chest, arms etc. and ask them to mark with a sharpie or something the lengths required.

Cut out those sections of fabric, stretch them slightly and peg them down so it stays stretched (slightly). Mark out the design (just go by copying what you see on the screen or print it out on like A4 or A3 to see more of it) lightly with a pen, and go over if with puff-paint!

Sewing it is gonna be a tricky... but I mean it shouldnt be too difficult because you'll know exactly what piece of fabric goes where. The invisible zipper bit I have absoloutely no experience with... but just search around for people who have sewn costumes together and have used invisible zippers and send them a PM. Or even for that task you could ask a seamstress for help with that bit alone.

I've never sewn anything in my life that's been worth seeing :L ask my art teacher and they'd agree haha

Just a suggestion :D
