The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (2014)

I'm just happy we get to see this suit on the big screen again, even if it is for a bit :thumbsup

Oh, also, if anybody is gonna attempt the ASM2 suit. You can wear the ASM for the start of the opening, and then change to the ASM2 in the middle hahah.

It would have been cool if they had him in the old suit at the beginning in a prologue scene with Rhino, then have it ripped to shreds and him replacing it with the new suit. Maybe he can get a job at the Daily Bugle to provide funds to upgrade it.
An interesting take would be including Aunt May's bill issues and implying that the old suit is too expensive to fix, so the new one is cheaper because of it.

I wouldn't count the possibility of the suit popping up in the film out quite yet. I have a feeling they'll show what happens to it or at least when Peter upgrades. Just because that picture is from the first film doesn't mean the suit won't show up this film.

Or maybe I'm too optimistic lol.

My only issue with the new update is: if this is from the first film, what scene would they have been filming? There were no scenes with paintings/setting like that in the first one :/

Is it possible that the background has nothing to do with what was filmed? Maybe, but it just seems too specific of a setting that it couldn't have doubled for anything we saw in the film.

Easy explanation: it was probably just a photo taken in waiting in a random room adjacent to one of the locations they used for a set. Or perhaps it was taken at a costume fitting. Any number of simple explanations could suffice.

I still have a feeling Webb will write the explanation for the suit change into the film. I also have a feeling that the stunt double was originally telling the truth yet, knowing the secrecy surrounding comic book movies, they want to keep everything they can under wraps so they had him recount his tweet to throw everyone off.

To your last statement, that's exactly what I feel. I get the feeling it is exactly what he said it was originally and that the "update" was a coverup of sorts. I just can't see this being an old BTS shot. There was nothing similar to this in the film, and the "off the set" stuff usually just looks a little more...industrial? Not like a fancy art room. Again, I could be wrong, but my spidey sense is tingling.

It could be in whatever hotel they were staying at. But yeah, I think it was a cover up too. It's usually easy to distinguish between a new photo of yourself, and one that's a couple years old. I can't really see someone making that mistake haha.
