When you do see collar texture, it usually seems to be horizontal, as in Spock's collar in "Omega Glory"

Chekov has unusual vertical texture in his collar, in this shot from "Spock's Brain"

They used different Materials for the Collars as you have shown.

One of my Tunics Collars is made with the same material as Spocks in "Omega Glory", and another has the material Chekov has in "Spocks Brain".

I tell ya the Spock Collar Material is weird want to say it has a diamond like pattern to it but I just looked at it and it does not.

Just when you think you have the right material and dye job correct then you move on to the Collar headache. :lol

Ah yes, Pants. A whole topic unto themselves. :lol

FIrst season pants, colors were all over the place. ("Charlie X")

Second season pants ("Return to Tomorrow")... note the tab in front.

Third season pants.

BTW speaking of third season... there's something about those tunics, just don't care for them... too slick or something. :unsure

In early episodes you see pants with pockets. One of the best scenes to notice this is during Spock's and Tormolen's physical exam in "the Naked Time".

Yeah. Jimmy Doohan told me he was the one instrumental in getting Pockets on the pants. :lol

No where to keep your Smokes or dressing room key he told me. Not that the dressing rooms were that secure in the first place.

this is a heavy wieght velour I have only seen it once at the denver fabric store quite pricey back in the eighties now it would have sky rocketed the clue for me is the back of the fabric especially the salvage edge the wide weave is the end of the bolt. I remember someone saying and or showing that desilu had bought bolts of each color does anyone have photos of this I for one would love to see it

No, no, no, no, no... :lol

That's a TOWEL that he has around his neck... coincidentally similar in color to the command tunic. ;)

Hey what's the story on these tunics that were on display at Wonderfest. (I found this pic in an online photoset, don't know who shot it)...

Yeah, I doubt they're original too, but I'm curious WHO made them, and for what purpose. There's nothing really IN the photo to judge the circumstances, other than just showing off.

Anyone know?

:)

Do you include the season 3 girdle with the Gold Tunic? I think I could pass for Shatner...but I would surely need the girdle.

I added color swatches for the synthetic fabric to the Tunics page, for those that had asked.
