That's into the second season... command "mustard" is looking a bit more brown or tan than the first season..

:lol Yes. Yessss. Cool. Ok, ok, I'm calm. Wow, a great replica of the actual Tunic and now the 1975 shirt too? Awesome. What do you need from us? Oooo what about a color pallet? These colors are taken from images of actual 1975 shirts I found on the net (well ok the green one is mine :rolleyes ).

Thanks again, you've made my week. :D

Assuming the insignia are essentially the same as the standard tunics, I think I've seen enough from your snapshots (feel free to post others if you wish to point out details) to do a Donmoor the style in a poly/cotton knit. You can place orders through the website as with the regular tunic. Just mention the Donmoor type when ordering.

Check out the loop holding the phaser in place just forward of the ten-turn.

The pic of De Kelley looks like "Arena".[/b]

I'd say they are all "Arena", except for the last one, which is probably "Friday's Child".

Yeah for any kind of action scene they by this point had settled on attaching the lightweight dummy props to large velcro panels reinforced with strong thread. These grabs are from "Private Little War".

Yeah, your insignia is realy close here, no need to change it. Plus, I don't think a Donmoor scaled patch would look right on a shirt scaled up to an adult size.

Quick question what does your collar materal look like up close? is it anything like this?

Just wondering. Oooo, any idea what kind of price point for the replica 1975 shirt? Just need to how much to save up for. I might even get two. One gold and one in (yes Dave.) Green. :p

Thanks again for doing this man. It's a dream come true. :$

John

The price on the Donmoor shirts will be $20 less than the standard version because of the simpler construction. I'm getting some swatches of the collar material so I can choose the best one from what's available.

Here are a couple patches from out of my collection.. I think the one on the left is from a Donmoor shirt. The one on the right is probably from Lincoln Enterprises in the 70s. It's very similar to the ones Rodd.com sells now, but it's a little more accurate in the outlines.

dam i think i had red, blue and gold of those old shirts.... *sigh*

but i'd throw in an extra $20.00 and just get GMs velour edition

Damn, if it isn't a Donmoor patch. Wow if you look back at the shirt a couple of pages ago its a match.

I don't suppose you'd part with it for a restoration job... :rolleyes

John

Here is my Donmoor that is in surprisingly good condition for its age. I donÂ’t think I can fit into it anymore though. Note the accurate style and color. :lol

Interesting how the rib knit on the collar is slightly finer than the green shirt, perhaps the gold one is just less worn. Looks like an interlock knit. I've ordered samples to compare. Either way, I can get something suitable.

My buddy Scott has requested an authentic tunic as well. I suggested getting a case like this for displaying it.

He plans to add some photos inside showing Kirk in the tunic. What do you think?

that looks to have an open front? not a bad idea... i'm going a different route...

more like a retired officer's display... just gotta come up with some ideas.. found afew webpages that sell those type of display boxes/cases

I think the case idea is a good one, but I wouldn't put photos IN the case too... might look too cluttered. :unsure

Framed photos NEAR the case on the other hand... :D

Wow...I don't know. With just a diffrence of twenty bucks, maybe I should just get an actual replica. But then again the idea of wearing a shirt like my old shirt is so appealing. Don't know...hurm...Yeah...I still want one, just have to get it passed appropriations :cry .

Either way thanks again for both of these. Its great to have two options to agonise over than no tunics at all. :p

Here's a treat for you braid fetishists. :p

And with a final pathetic yelp, Commodore Whineypants was no more. :sleep

We shall not meet his like again. :angel

Actually acording to New Voyages he ended up on Earth in the 20th Century and lived out his life with Barbara Luna (who played Lt. Marlena Moreau on Star Trek) Not a bad way to go for the old Commodore. :D
