The 8th Doctor's new costume - Night of the Doctor

Go pro. There are plenty of costumers here that can help or direct you at someone that can. Dying a black garment isn't as uncommon as you'd think.
Thanks for the tip! I'm not so much nervous about it being black so much as I am about it being wool.
Any idea where to start?

Personally I wouldn’t try and change something from black to green. It’d have to be lightened using fabric bleach first then dyed at a fairly high temperature using wool dyes. These processes would be ok on uncut fabric but for an already constructed garment they’re very likely going to mess up the structure, shrink it unevenly, and damage it in other less predictable ways.

I ended up using fabric spray paint from Michael's on mine, as it was also black. It isn't anywhere near perfect, but I'm actually okay with it, given how heavily weathered his coat is.
