The 1 thing that still eludes me: (Please help) Storm Trooper Armor

For about 3-4 years now, I have been trying and trying to find a way I could even make a Storm Trooper Helmet, let alone the whole suit and maybe the blaster. Being 17 and having limited resources as well as abilities, and a lack of someone to teach them to me because of how pathetic my town is has made almost every way to make Good armor impossible to find. I can't do the extensive work that is put into kits and other armor, and I can't even find good pepakura files for armor, the last one I found was very badly unfolded, anyway, after looking at FETT and QuakeVirus' Mark V Iron Man suits built with mostly trashcans, I was wondering if anyone had a tutorial like that for Storm Trooper Armor (Or any tutorial at all). It's pretty funny that i always thought this would be easy as Master Chief and Iron Man are more Polys/Parts, but I was very wrong, it is the other way around. Now I would just buy a kit, if I had the money, and also if I didn't want to just make it myself. Anyway, I guess if anyone could just post any tutorials they have or come across here for me, that would be great, and I would appreciate it.

I can totally relate, I have moved to an area where I have far fewer resources than I use to...and now I decide to get into prop building.

Prince if you come across anything decent let me know, I would love to have ST Armour right next to the Iron Man I am hoping to build.

If you want to try pepping up a set Check out Dungbeetle's Blog... Pep Props

One of his first posts is a link to his pep Stormie helm and a set of pep Stormie Armour.

I haven't looked at them yet, but I think you may want to go with Dungbeetle's armor, probably one of the best unfolds/models we will see since 'Pep troopers' aren't in high demand.

Thank you, I saw somewhere that he made a suit, but couldn't find the files since the 405th is down and I knew where he posted links to them on there.

Cheers, I'll take a bit of credit here... I did the unfolding on the armour.

I also just went back and re-read your first post... I still think Pep'ing is the best way to get a presentable result given your resources. But also Check out Studio Creations and First Imperial Stormtrooper Academy

The first one is has a good tut on the classic method of making Stormtrooper armour and the second is the 501st Stormtrooper detachment page - for many this is only resourse for Stormie info other than the movies themselves.

Best of Luck

FISD is it... A friend of mine got his TK armor from a guy that goes by ATA Armor or something. It's top notch for HIPS and around $380 just for the armor with helmet is pretty good. Then the rest you will need

For everyone that has been sending/posting and telling me about kits, I thank you, but as I said in my long rant at the start:

...Now I would just buy a kit, if I had the money, and also if I didn't want to just make it myself....
:)

Starwars was what started my love of Sci-Fi, and other Fiction in general (And I mean original, VHS copies ANH, ROTJ, & ESB, first editions, on an old style T.V. you know the ones with the tuning nobs.):lol Hence why I really feel that I should make the armor myself, and not buy a kit, I feel that in the case, buying a kit means it's that kit makers armor, I just snapped it together, I didn't make the parts, so I feel it wouldn't be 'my' suit, as far as I'm concerned, I need to make it with my own hands. It's a matter of honor as far as I'm concerned.:sleep

So once again, thanks for the links and information about the kits, but it's not what I'm looking for. I appreciate it though. :thumbsup
