I'd like to take a moment to recognize and appreciate the fact that you did not sculpt this mask over a pre-existing head shape. Fargin' fantastic work there.

And, for all of us old farts on the Lair, I'd like to add....

Damn you for being young and talented and figuring it out so early in life!!!

DangerDavey

keep on the good work colin we are all behind you my man

I think that if you two work together and combine forces, you will be unstopable!!!!!!!!!!! The both of ya's are very talented, and I wish I was doing what you guys are at your age. Way to go!!!

only thing is the back broke in half around the neck area

The heartbreak of mold breakage strikes at us all every once in a while. I[v'e had a couple of molds break before. But I've patched them back together using contact cement and a bit more plaster and burlap on the outside.

This can be minimized by making sure that the mold is thick enough all over your sculpt. 1" with re-enforcement works best for me. I also watch out for undercuts on the sculpt.

Good thing it was only the back half of your mold.

Now lets see a pull!!

DangerDavey

the back is patched and holds better than first (duh)
used some bandage and netting to secure it from breaking again so no surries it won't happen again and the first pull is tomorow so pics tomorow i hope
thx!

Huge improvement from last time, lookin' great. Can't wait to see it painted up.

the plast costed about 6 euros and the water you can get that everywhere
