The THING......Spiderhead Norris and Splitface....Updated Pics

Hi.

I recently was asking for information regarding Painting and Glossing my recently purchased Props from The Thing Movie.

I have been absolute crazy about this film since its release back in 82 and finally in my 40's i have the space to start collecting and painting props.

These first 2 props that i have acquired are in the process of being glossed over with real blood effects. I wanted these 2 props to look more scary and horror like with plenty of blood and gore added to them for Halloween parties etc.

I will hopefully be getting more props in....Like the Blair Monster head and the Norris Tongue head etc soon and doing the same.

I then hope to add more of these props and start properly painting them via the spray guns etc...when i decide to start learning these procedures.

Anyways i thought i would post these 2 blood props. Im looking to add Gelatine soon also as these are still WIP.

PS....Thanks to people on here and other forums that suggested the materials for my first small project.

The pics below will be taken properly in better light conditions with Higher end Camera soon....Im just showing these as Work in Process.

I remember (over at the OUTPOST 31 site) someone put a facehugger over a Norris head

Before the 2011 prequel, I thought split-face was one organism dividing into two.

I figured the block of ice contained a smaller, more amorphous Thing, that snagged a research team member Bennington style, and was going through fission when caught replicating then burned .

Yikes! Makes me want to watch the movie. Excellent work and that spider head,,,, freaking great!
