THANOS: The mad Titan (pic intensive)

Just come across this and it is awesome, don't suppose anyone know what happened? Why wasn't it completed, it was going so well...

it was another case of life and things that got in the way haha BUT i have restarted the WHOLE build and luckily i still had my templates i spent hours making.

this time the armor will be in foam and coated

ill be fully revamping this build in the next month or so. thanks for the encouragement!

Badass! I was hoping to see this one finished too!

thanks! im on track to FOR SURE finish it this time around lol

started work on the helmet this morning getting things mapped out and getting a battle plan.the toughest thing is going to be getting it to hug my face close like the concept art shows and still be able to get it on and off without moving parts or straps or anything. if this is a simple problem then all is well haha

now to test out methods of painting this and figuring out the rest of the suit.
im opting to sculpt mold and cast the helmey rather than scratch build that i started.

PLENTY of filckleness is this build haha

i have a life cast f my hand because ill be scuplting abetter one for myself over the summer

p.s.

GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY LOOKS AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That gauntlet looks rad! I love the lighting effects!
Sculpting and casting the helmet might be the way to go. Then you can sand the helmet to perfection, and paint it up real shiny.
You may even find some people who would buy raw cast of it from you.

thats my plan but for now just because the time crunch im gonna scratch build it ad after the convention scuplt the helmet out aswell. i have it roughed out already but i know i cant commit to the whole process before the end march

wamp wamp more time goes by but i do have updates!

ive since sculpted molded and casted his helmet

10013906_10201870665039508_2420655458867700786_n.jpg

ive got all the progress pictures up my on page

facebook.com/cosmicashstudios

so i wont flood and fill the forums with more of the unexciting pictures.
next will be sculpting out pieces for the infity gauntlet which will be a custom design since i want something more intimidating then the comic version and less medieval like the movie version so far.

Nice helmet! It appears to fit you just right. Did you sculpt he helmet details on top of the foam base presented in the picture a few post above? If so how well did that release from the mold?

id say if it was hit with a few layers of a good enamel clear coat, foam would be able to pull from a mold fairly easily. but i didnt want to run the risk of having to pick all of it out of the mold if during the demold it just yanked off with the jacket so i just went with what im most familiar with.

PLUS ive never worked with wed clay or sculpt/mold/cast a helmet so it was good experience points for me haha
