Not ridiculous at all. Most people seem to be able to grasp this. It isn't hard. The VO and what is being shown are clearly edited to match each other. You seriously think they just coincidentally showed a dramatic shot of Vader's helmet when Luke mentions his father, a dramatic shot of Luke when he mentions himself, and then a random woman when he mentions his sister? Lol! Sure thing...

I saw that auction as well. It appears to me to be a super clean unit the whole way around. The lines sometimes seem a bit shallow compared to the lettering on the clamp. I've seen this on several Graflexes that I've had and that others have had. Everything on your Graflex screams legit to me. And you got a great deal on it, particularly for it being so crispy.

Here's why it is Leia:

EVERYTHING that we have seen in both trailers so far, have been mentioned or rumored from concept art. Abrams and crew know this.

The reason why we saw the Kylo saber in teaser 1? The concept was leaked months before, showing the cross guard.

This is why Kylo has had such a heavy presence in both trailers.

The blueish colored shirt with rolled up sleeves and black vest matches the rumored concept art to the T.

Vader's mask, the ESB graflex, all leaked months ago. Moral of my current post: they are only showing things that fans have seen/heard/rumored already!

It's a good bet that's Leia.

Nice find...

Even though prices have skyrocketed lately, I remember thinking even back a year ago that if I wanted a pristine graflex it was going to run me about 300... so the prices aren't THAT bad... yet.

They're definitely getting there.

There was a nice one that sold recently for close to $500.

This was actually on auction and I took a shot in the dark and sent him a message with an offer and we worked it out.

Nice guy, even took the two extra pictures of the ear rivet and the inside.

I spent way too much a couple of days ago on a Folmer without patent number. It was stupid money. STUPID. I think I may have won the award for highest amount paid for a Graflex this far in 2015.

And I already have one, but this one is minty. I actually only got it because I figured someone here on theRPF would want it but now I'm afraid/embarrassed to list it for the price I paid for it. It didn't seem quite as unreasonable at the time, but now...?
The good news is that it is complete and 100% genuine, no rust, and it comes with an LK red button. The guy said he has many Graflexes but that this one is one of his very best. I guess we'll see once it arrives.

I know that guy has another one listed.

Or there was another nice one with an included reflector I remember too.

That guy has listed quite a few - and reused the same pictures in some of his auctions. The pics in the auction that (I believe) Mugatu won appear to be exactly the same as the pics used in another auction of his for a Graflex that I won. The condition was nice. Ears were floppy though.

Yes, that's the one. I noticed the pics were the same too, so I wrote to him and asked if they were from the previous auction. He said they were and he sent me the real photos for the auction. A mint Folmer without patent number with an LK red button.
So if you watched that auction, you know how much it cost me.

I've seen him sell several before mine with the car as a backdrop and the photos are usually a little bit different each time, but no different in the listing for the auction I won. And he does have another one listed now but it's a bit rougher than mine or the one before mine.

Looks good! Definitely a genuine flash. Red button is good. I might be a little iffy on the clamp just because the lever looks slightly off in shape and sheen to me, but it could just be the pics. But just from those pics I'm about 95% sure the whole thing is real.

Not even that but they look like Carrie Fisher's hands. Would be silly for the dialogue to reference Vader (my father has it), Luke (I have it) and then some random woman that isn't Luke's sister (my sister has it).

I'm working under the thought that the image is in fact reference to the "you have that power too" portion of the VO, and that he is speaking to Rey. But speculation at this point is fun and I'm still wonder why the line specifically says "My father has it."

mugatu ... you have a screen-accurate ESB Folmer lightsaber without the patent number and New York ... you can't get any closer to the real prop used on set ... no matter the cost involved ... not even I have that one . . . so no buyer's remorse permitted here ... savey? Get another red button and an ESB set from Roy and ... enjoy
