So right now I am keeping an eye out on the bay for a DECENTLY priced 3 cell.

(There is a bidding war going on right now for a Graflex ANH. It's up to $325. In the condition its in, it IS NOT worth $325 to me.)

I am going to be patient for the next week or so and see if something else comes up.

However I do have a back up plan. Parks.

Whats the consensus on these? I'm not looking for fancy blades or electronics, so I was going to see if I can order one of their display ANH graflex hilts, only with their ESB T track, board and D ring.

Has anyone ever done this?

So...just speculating here...I'm sure that someone knew who had that saber in their collection, even though the general public didn't. Maybe it's being revealed now, because it was either copied or used in the new film?

Looking ahead to the special features on the blu ray release, I'm sure a lot will be made of how far this production went to make everything authentic, including tracking down real Graflex, & Heiland flash guns, &, Maybe, even Luke's original ROTJ saber?

I can see that being a thing, & if so, an interview with the guy who found & has kept it.

Speculation all.

Me personally, I have been looking for a flash gun for a little over a week. I was generously offered a couple of Graflexs at cost, but I held out til I found a clean Parks. That worked best for what I was wanting it for.

Instead of spending the money on an already built saber, I suggest getting a plain one & contact Roy for the parts you need.

I'm just not sure if you are paying $150 for a completed ANH hilt or a blank 3 cell replica.

The website says "in stock" but Parks himself says they're not. Sounds like an 8 - 12 week lead time.

I recently received a Parks MPP which came finished with parts for $150. It took about 4 months while the site said that it was in stock.

Back to topic.

I may go to online metals and order aluminum tubing and build the hardware sabers again!

If there is a lot of interest in the parks graflex, maybe somebody would be willing to organize a group buy, so people can get a quantity discount from parks.

When Park first offered them I was in on a group buy and they were like 80 bucks a pop or something insane like that. I'd be down at that price!
