That could work, seeing as the kit is rotocast by Rich, i dont see why somebody couldnt hack it up some, add a whole load of detail and carnage, and add a scaled PD to the mix......i can think of one guy who is a Dio god up for that...but he's busy on an Exhaust port right now :lol

hehe... #5 on my planned mega-dio list... now that I finally own a SS PD. This will definitely be a reference for the big pod (or at least the ensuing carnage) :cool Why just put it on a stick when you can mount it on Hoth... I think somebody build the SMT one over a crashed pod a long time ago.

Hey guys, an update on the pod kits.

I've sent out the first pods. I've been individually trimming all the flak off the pieces, and can tell you it's going to take me a year doing it that way. So if you guys don't mind trimming your own flak, that would be great.

Also, I've now completed gang molds for all the parts, so I can cast these faster now.

So, the way I'm going to do it is just send them out first come first served. I can make 2 of these a day.

Flak is flash. And I like to trim it too, but trimming that much flash causes blisters, and I need my hands for...well nevermind.

Thanks to Montagar, this thread is now back in use. ALL sales, and i mean ALL sales chatter, will have to go here from now on guys, just to keep it all fair and straight.

Funny thing, i had a message from my buddy Mr Eaton yesterday, seems he had the pleasure, of rubbing shoulders with a Pat Mclung, the guy that actually built this prop for TESB....needless to say, i think Jason was pretty stoked, and im kinda humbled Pat gave props for the interest in the model, so thanks to Jason Eaton too, for being at a very good place in time (Wonderfest) over the weekend lol.

Yeah, it was so trippy to go from "damn I love your Sulaco" to "YOU BUILT the ESB POD?!" lol. He said he came to the production late, and it was one of the very few things he worked on.

Man, I was born 20 years too late and on the wrong frikkin' coast.

Should be some pics of the props in this vry thread buddy, but, to me at least ILM used the same Pactra as applied to the TIE's. Just go for a mix close to how you call it and have fun, cant recall the codes, but i used a Tamiya mix.
