Terra Nova?

Plus, they feel it's safe because it won't mess up their timeline since it's an alternate universe. Fine. However, it's possible, if not very likely, it will completely fubar somoene else's timeline. They kinda gloss over than part of it :)

Then again, maybe they're the alternate universes version of atlantis.

This is me, watching Terrible Nova. Sigh. On the bright side, at least I have something to combat insomnia now.

I doubt I'll give it a third try.

Guri: If only it was Lost. God...that would be awesome. Maybe they will do a reunion someday, and be on an island with dinosaurs.

Yeah so far it would appear that Terra Nova seems to be a big FLOP, At least for me I'll give it one more episode and if i can't get into it I'll call it quits... Too bad i was wanting to like it.

Just another thought on last week's epi... by having the old boyfriend turn out to be the reason the Doc is there is just plain disrespectfult to the character and in real life, if someone found out that they weren't selected for their merit -- but because some loser had a crush -- it would be a VBD. Not brushed off. That's sloppy and careless, and shows an underlying disdain for the audience.

Well to be honest from a Production standpoint I really think they think this will be lucky to survive a Season, 2 at the most.

Just too many things it has against it.

but has anyone considered the long term viability of terra nova?

I took it as both, and the way they portray her so far, she seems to be MORE talented than the guy who wanted her recruited.

The conversation she had with Tailor made it also sound like she had lots of other options, and that they don't JUST select someone based on a request to bring them, they have to actually be able to contribute something significant to bypass the lottery.

I find it much, much less believable that Jim, a convict who snuck in illegally seems to suddenly be Taylor's favorite right hand man.

Sure he chopped down the weeds and saved Taylor's life, but shouldn't Taylor have other people that are close to him he trusts? An entire team of close comrades and commanding officers. Seems to be very few people around him of any substance, that they are showing us, anyway.

So, I'm not insulted by the old boyfriend storyline because I think she's not there on merit, more bored by it because, it's contrived and the triangle love story is so overdone.

THANKFULLY she doesn't seem interested in this guy at all - that would be too much.

I was hoping for a story we could follow from one episode to the next, but if they're already trotting out Freak of the Week episodes I'm not going to hold my breath (or any space on my recorder's HD) for 'em. Episode 2 was a glob of peanut butter with commercials stuffed in, and 3 looks like it'll be more of the same.

omg this episode has to be a cruel joke. When is the real one coming on?

I will no longer be watching Terrible nova aka Swiss Family Robinson meets jurassic park and every scifi cliche in existence. Heart broken

actually I probably will watch it so I can make fun of it and because nothing better is on tv on a Monday night

Agreed, this episode was pretty lame. Predictable, contrived and the sweetheart stuff between the teens is totally gag worthy.

But, there's DINOSAURS! So, I'm still watching. haha! And my 13 year old is so into it. We haven't been both excited to watch something since we watched Star Trek Next Gen together. :D

I still have hope that this could turn out to be a great show because next weeks promo looked back on track for the cool on going mystery arch with the sixers and they explained some of the time travel stuff.

Hey Moo, did you notice, she called him "Jack" tonight? Ha!

Just remember to smear mud on your face when ransacking a heavily armoured compound because then you are invisible.

HA! I did notice. it's the little things, Guri...the little things:lol

Damn you guys are harsh on this show, as most others.
I thought the episode was pretty good. Heck the whole show is good.

I'm glad I don't see it through your eyes, I get to enjoy things.

I'm a little mixed on reviews on this show so far. I like the idea of saving society, but the whole going back in time thing doesn't parse too well. The episodes are weak, imo, thus far.
