Terminator: Genisys

I remember seeing that "reveal" as well. Really wish I hadn't seen it.. I actual like the "reveal", but it would have been so much better seeing it for the first time as part of the whole film. Still holding out hope that I haven't been too spoiled and that this film is enjoyable at the very least.

What this movie needs is a decent opening weekend, maybe two, and then a brutally harsh drop in sales after that with terrible word-of-mouth.

The public needs to send the message that we did want to buy a new Terminator movie - but not this one.

What this movie needs is: to be destroyed, every single copy. I say we take off and nuke the entire film from orbit. It's the only way to be sure :lol

Was watching Mad Max at the cinema last night and the new Terminator trailer shows up...................................Frak....wish i had not seen that one. Its like they really need to show every PLOTTWIST in the ******** trailer... The "reveal" was nothing you put in the good damn trailer:angry....Its like if they had put Vaders "I am you father" in the trailer for Episode 5. What were they thinking...:facepalm

That is like the point, they're not thinking, OR they are and really want to make a turd of a film. :facepalm

Yeah, "it's all about the twists", which are really no longer twists anymore, because we all already know the whole damn movie from the trailers.

Let's face it the art of movie trailers has been lost since the early 90s, now it's dumbed down for audiences with the attention spans of baked potatoes. I'm not expecting a masterpiece but I think this'll be a fun movie, and if they even got someone as picky as Cameron to like it then they got something right.

The CGI Arnold looks way better in this than Salvation, actually the CGI looks really good aside from some of the crappy T1000 stuff. How many versions of Arnie is there in here? I saw 1984 and modern old Arnie but i thought i saw one that was more T2 era Arnie too.

Man, they did something weird to Arnie.

He looks strangely skinny and old.

From the way it looks, it's the CG lighting and the model detail. When it comes to the CG model, you can see pores and the lighting being a tad bit harsh, while in the original footage, you don't see as much detail of the skin and the lighting seems softer.

Why did they change the color of his eyes, is my question... and I am guessing they spent all of their CG budget on Arnie and cut down on everything else.

Oh and what the heck did they give Cameron to smoke? o_O :wacko

He looks a little better in this shot.

But if your'e going to recreate the scene why not shoot for continuity? The punks are totally different.

Not really and maybe they missed that part of the film :lol

I am still in shock about the Cameron endorsement. It's not like he needs money, so I doubt it was solicited. My interest is peaked again, that maybe despite how this is looking, that there is something worth seeing.

It is very strange. I'm open to the fact we may be wrong about the film. I just don't see how. Not long and we will find out though.

If this was James Cameron pre-Avatar, I'd be willing to take his word at the possibility that this film may be good. However, this is not the pre-Avatar James Cameron, so I have low expectations, even with Cameron's endorsement.

That's just me of course.

Maybe because he's actually seen the movie?

Cameron said "cgi? I dig it!" Holy crap i'm just now realizing that other punk with Paxton is Shao Kahn from MK Annihlation! Eh maybe this movie will have a good story. I say "good story" rather than "good opening weekend" because any movie with enough hype gets a good opening weekend even with a crappy story. Might see it the 2nd opening week, just in case nobody else has seen it and needs a review lol
