I had mentioned it elsewhere that a straight up Terminator remake would have been worse and totally unnecessary, as again it would never stack up to the tone of the original and would be pale in comparison.
And I dreaded the idea of this movie when it became apparent that this is a reboot instead of a sequel. But now that I have learned that this plays in the same universe as of the first movie, I am little more open to it.
Just reading that description about the older Terminator making an entrance during the scene from the first movie got me quite excited.
But it might of course lead to more problems with the timelines and could even nullify the events from the first two films. Need to wait and find out.
