Terminator Bio Chromed Last Page

Looks great. I've got to say I really like it, but that is (to me) a lot of work to clean up. Have you spoken with other makers how to lessen the bubbles/pits? Have you checked for voids?

How to lessen? Using products from smooth on, because i do the same steps as other makers make, unfortunately the shipping prices to PR are too expensive, so i have to use whatever i find on the net(low quality), i said it before and im gonna say it again , i dont consider mysef a prop maker, im just a fan that want to share his works with the world ( community) if it has flaws i say it before selling, so if people are down with that and they still agree to buy it, its their responsibility, i try my best in each project, and this was the first time i used the brush on silicone, and i didnt like it a bit, just wanted to try other stuff, im used to the pour one, you can see the difference in smootness if you compare to the gorilla bio, and thats it

Its not good for detail, i had to do the beauty coat with an acrylic paint tiny brush, and still had bubbles, less but it has, the purable one i like best because it flows by itself taking all detail, thats my opinion, i said on fb that this was my first and last brushable mold , from now on im matrix molding everything

Interesting. I use a pourable silicone for my brush on moulds, with a thickener when I want to start really laying it on there. Shame you had a bad experience with it though.

Jose - I've fixed a number of Bios with flaws so any work that needs to be done will be done with pride! To me - that's part of the process and makes it more enjoyable. To say I'm looking forward to it is an understatement. ;)

I know man, you have great hands, im sure your gonna make justice to it, but i know there are people that dont have the tools or experience to fix it, and it pisses me off not to have a perfect cast for you, but from now on pourable silicone only :)

it's weird how many bubbles that silicone gives you. you are doing nothing wrong in the molding process, so i could see how frustrating it would be to keep getting bubbles in your molds. not all silicones are created equal i guess .
if you ever do a small mask, try using the silicone caulking tube method. i used that on a couple molds and if you are diligent about putting on the first layer you get a really decent mold. you should be able to pick up the caulking from walmart pretty cheaply.
other than that jose, this looks spectacular.

I came to realize maybe the problem was the resin , i just casted an iron man faceplate and the mold is bubble free then when i demold it , the cast is a lil warped and with bubbles all over the place

Will do , but im going to try another resin, the site i order my silicones now has a similar resin to onyx even the cans are like smooth on gonna try that next time

Now comes the real challenge, alclad cant be touched too much, so it needs to be sealed, the problem is when sealing youll be loosing the chrome properties, so im going to seal with future wax, because its not reactive to anything so far, but it has almost the same problems as alclad, needs to be protected from chemicals for example amonia or a high percent alcohol etc. even too much water could screw it, just so people knowif you choose to wear it, you know your chances
