Terminator 4: Salvation - Prop Discussion (SPOILERS AHEAD)

This bust seems to be awesome and I'm glad I'm not into Salvation collecting. The same way I don't collect Star Wars Prequels, AVP, Batman Begins/TDK, new Star Trek movie. I stick with the classic T1/T2 :cool

Here's some pics of the new Sideshow T-600 bust...sorry for the quality, these are screen captures from G4.

Love it! After reading the movie book through twice now, I am really looking forward to seeing this flick:thumbsup

it looks small
Personally think the Sideshow bust looks Ok scalewise. Indeed in some shots I've seen, even the original Endoskull can actually look somewhat small in comparison to the T600 body as IMO it has very wide shoulders and upper chest:-

Has anyone commented on the placement of the mouth? I can't picture what this terminator would look like with flesh. The mouth would be sitting right under the nostrils to align with the teeth properly. Why does it have a jay leno chin like the predator from AVP?

The mouth placement of the SS piece looks spot on to the prop head - the prop DOES have a huge chin though - that's the main problem with the kids voicechanger helmet - it's chin is WAY too small.

Comparing photos again, it DOES look too small. The Official Movie Companion shows that the T-600 skull should be large enough to actually fit OVER an adults head (one photo shows a stunt man wearing the endoskull as a mask, and another shows it mounted over a mannequin bust being painted).

The photo (in the O.M.C.) of the unpainted T-600 skull next to the unpainted T-800 skull shows the T-600 skull to be 1.3 x larger than the T-800 (6.5cm image next to a 5cm image).

What sort of shotgun is that? the tip of the barrel looks funny.

That shotgun (the one used in the photo of kid was a "non-gun") is the Remington 870 pistol grip shotgun with door breaching muzzle end. Normaly the sling would be a Single Pointe CSM bungee) but a shoe lace will do. That muzzle is vented like that and has little teeth on the end for things such as blowing up locks on doors. You put the barrel right up agains the portion you want to blow and pull the trigger. Blair uses one too with tri-rail on the fore grip and flashlight, but his doesnt have the boor breacher. This same type gun also used this 7th season of "24".

This is a *****in shotgun.

What's with the silver teeth in the above photos? YUCK!

That GE M134 minigun shown carried iby the terminator in Rob's photo is freakin nuts! Isnt that the same type of mini-gun used by Neo in the Matrix? And if I am not mistaken the Arnold Termy has used this a time or two. Good continuity.

As far as Barnes' pistol, It is not the H&K Mark 23 that Conner uses. First thought was a Para-Ordnance Nite-Tac with a fake muzzle piece put on by art department. But that is a rounded top gun where the one in the photo seems more square like a glock. (little bit of trivia, the same exact H&K M23 used by Bail in T:S was used by Will Smith in 'I am Legend'. Same goes with the mini gun mentioned above. One of the exact ones from T:S was used in I-A-L. Cool huh?)

I see he uses the Prototype Magpul Masada rifle

The HK416 Conner uses is fitted with a a Surefire Millennium Universal light attached on the right rail and a C-More red dot sight. He also uses an M4 with M26 12 Gauge shotgun Mod.

The Grenade launcher used by the terminator, Conner, and Reese is a M203 stand alone model. Although John and Kyle's has a pistol grip and a folding stock.

a quick shot of the T-600 next to the T-800.. there is a major size difference.. The screen caps from G4 makes it look the same size ad the T-800.. Maybe we will get a shot of both Sideshow pieces side by side
