Good morning Ladies & Gentlemen,

Finally, Warner Bros. has released the first teaser trailer and a few production photos.

I wanted to start this thread for further discussions about the items and props we are going to see in this movie.

ATTENTION: If you don´t want to bei spoilered before you have seen the movie in late summer 2009, then avoid this thread!

But first of all, here is a link to the teaser trailer:

And here are some new production photos:

Now my first question:

What type of machine gun is Chr. Bale using here?

A M15a4 carbine, if I am correct. With a lamp attached to the barrel and without the usual carrying handle/sight normally assumed on the M16 series assault rifles.
Cool pic.

The rifle is definitely a military HK 416 as mentioned in another thread already. Flip up rear and forward sights, a tactical light (sure?). The red-dot scope is a C-more Reflex sight. Pretty cheap optics as far as they go.

What happened to the phased plasma rifle in the 40-watt range? Looks like their going with more modern type weaponry, thats cool.

Hi,

I thought the new Terminator movie should take place during "Future War" ???

FRED

The light is a Surefire Millennium Universal WeaponLight System if I am not mistaken. I think there are several different models though and I am not entirely sure which model this one is.

It seems that we are not seeing the war like we know it from the prior movies. There are a lot of timeline crashes due to all the Terminator-arrivals and the happenings around SKYNET. So speaks Bale in the trailer: "This is not the future my mother warned me about."

To the others: Thank you for the infos about the machine gun!

there are 2 more movies to be made, why blow the load in the first of the three with going all futuristic with plasma rifle's ,etc. John is an Older man (40's ,50's) by the time all that technology is around.

I think the movie is supposed to be very early on. I don't know if it's the time period of Kyle or not. It could be that the Rebels just haven't gotten hold of better weapons yet.

I got a couple 416`s with pics below.

One of my favorite guns.

Reese looks badass with it and it`ll be interesting how normal fire takes down the early Ts

Actually, Reese is going to be in the film....Anton Yelchin is playing Reese and that austrialian Arnold clone is going to play the T-800...

The gun looks cool, but I'm much more excited about that new T-600!

Interesting that they've carried on the Gattling Gun arm design that was first used for the T-70's at Universal Studios:

Though the interview says that they're "8 foot tall killers" - well that would certainly make them "easy to spot", with or without the rubber skin!

Holy crap!!! :eek You're right! This could prove to be quite entertaining!

Here's a couple of decent shots I found of the T600 that was shown at Comic Con,

and a (enlarged) shot of the skull from the upcoming book

Does it have skin on it at some point. It would be real hard to pass off an 8 foot tall one of those as human.
