Terminator 2 Arnold chest sculpt

I wanted to make a T2 chest piece to use on a life-size statue. My goal was to take a photo I have of the prosthetic appliance that Arnold wore and make it how it would've looked had he been really a Terminator. That means having it sunk into the body. My goal is to make a life size battle damage Arnold statue that can be next to and at the same height as my life size Endo skeleton and have the exposed endo parts on the Arnie match up with the same parts on the Endo. It's hard to tell in the photo but the Endo pieces are in the proper place and the lower battle damage is sunken very deep. I also want to have enough skin sculpted so that with the ripped t-shirt on there would be a good amount of skin for the shirt to cover.

Here's the sculpt along with a picture of the appliance.

Very nice work there! And a great idea for a display piece too. So you're sculpting directly over the endo piece right? Will you be molding it with both pieces?

That looks great! i was planning to make my statue "real terminator" style, too. Can't wait to see your progress!

Thanks!

Yes, that's some unplated endo pieces that I'm sculpting over. I'll be molding it all as one piece.

That chest piece looks great! Me and the crew are working on a T2 project as well. i hope i could make it into a full sized statue in the near future.

Very nice, Dale! I for one really appreciate the "as if it were real" approach. You can get away with faking in 2D on a flat film print, but your statue will be so much more impressive in person for it (and it'll match your heads). Can't wait to see the finished product!

Very nice work.
I really like the concept of having a life-size battle damaged Arnold displayed alongside the life-size endoskeleton, revealing matching anatomy.

That looks awesome maximus, Im currently working on building the bandolier with 40mm grenades, if it comes out good maybe ill make more for others, when did you get the chest cast?
